The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Emelianenko is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Emelianenko closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Emelyanenko did well to prevent Emelianenko getting side control. Emelyanenko is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Emelianenko wants to free his trapped foot but Emelyanenko is holding on for dear life with his legs. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Emelianenko throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Emelyanenko trying to control but Emelianenko postures up.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Emelianenko shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Emelyanenko as he jumps to the side. Emelyanenko feints the counter takedown.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Emelianenko throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Emelyanenko's waist but Emelyanenko gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Emelianenko off to one side. Emelyanenko throws a counter combo. Emelianenko is looking to clinch but Emelyanenko is avoiding it.
Emelianenko fails to land the takedown. Emelyanenko changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fedor Emelianenko. That's going to take a lot out of him. Emelyanenko keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Emelyanenko tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Emelianenko tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Emelyanenko appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.

Emelianenko throws a half hearted mid kick. Emelianenko rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Emelyanenko moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Emelianenko dives in for a single leg takedown but Emelyanenko sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Emelyanenko stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Emelyanenko wants it to stay on the feet. Emelyanenko tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Emelianenko is breathing heavily. Emelianenko moves in looking to clinch but Emelyanenko pushes him off. Emelianenko dives in for a single leg takedown but Emelyanenko sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Emelianenko tries to score a power double leg takedown but Emelyanenko sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Emelianenko somewhat. Emelyanenko wants to counter with a clinch but Emelianenko pushes him away. Emelianenko gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Emelyanenko counters with a flying knee. Nice. Emelianenko shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Emelyanenko as he avoids it easily. Emelyanenko throws a big counter head kick but Emelianenko avoids it with no problem. Emelyanenko circles away from the clinch attempt and Emelyanenko counters with a left and a right... and another left... and another!! That last one turned off the lights! Emelianenko has no idea who he is and is as he gazes up at the spotlights. Brutal knockout!

Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Panteleev paws at him with a jab and circles away. Panteleev circles away from the clinch attempt and Panteleev counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Panteleev paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Panteleev connects with a body shot that sends Silva's belly button to the back. Panteleev lands a right hook to the body.
Panteleev's coach down at Russian Fighting Community Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Panteleev's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Silva misses with a hook to the body

A little jabbing left from Rock on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Ben Rock seems to be getting the better of the standup. A shot to the liver by Rock. Beautiful body shot. Uotsec tries to work over Rock's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Rock pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Uotsec uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Rock. Rock misses with a series of wild punches.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Uotsec wants to clinch and Rock counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Rock pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Rock fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Uotsec avoids a kick to the body.

and Uotsec counters with a series of strikes. Rock will be more careful next time no doubt. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Uotsec doesn't manage to clinch there - Rock circles away.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Machida moves into the clinch. Machida misses with a body punch.

Machida takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Stampfer has been working on his boxing with his coaches at St Petersburg MMA Gym in the buildup to the fight. Stampfer throws the left hand but Machida avoids the punch easily. Stampfer throws a sloppy head kick and Machida moves out of range easily. Stampfer misses with an uppercut. Machida slips a jab from Stampfer. Machida swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Stampfer throws the left hand but Machida avoids the punch easily. Stampfer misses with a shot to the body and Machida counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Machida scores with a hook to the body. Stampfer takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Stampfer throws an overhand right that drops Machida like a sack of potatoes! Stampfer dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ra closes the distance and pushes Quincy back into the cage. Quincy jumps guard but Ra turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Quincy jumps guard but Ra stands there with Quincy around his waist. Quincy gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Sun Ra has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryker Quincy. Ra breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Ra wants to clinch and Quincy decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Ra's guard. Quincy working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Ra's head. Quincy not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Quincy throwing strikes from guard but Ra blocks nicely. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Quincy working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Quincy drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Ra manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Quincy has Ra in his guard. Ra stopping the sweep attempt from Quincy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Quincy is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Ra has his hands clasped together but Quincy extends and breaks Ra's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Quincy.
