12 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tommy Riordan! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Chris Downing and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Riordan keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Riordan throws a hook but Jacksson avoids it easily. Jacksson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Riordan avoids it really well and circles away. Jacksson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Riordan pinned against the cage. Riordan gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Quintonn Jacksson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Riordan works Jacksson's body with a nice hook. Nice sprawl there from Riordan as Jacksson shoots in. Riordan scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jacksson tries to sprawl but Riordan drives through with a takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jacksson is breathing heavily. Riordan throwing shots but Jacksson is blocking nicely. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. McNamara comes to the cage accompanied by Massive Attack - Teardrop (House M.D.). Sean McNamara had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 206.0lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Sean McNamara has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McNamara looks to land a combination but Ripgut avoids it well. McNamara fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Ripgut feints and as McNamara raises his hands in defense, Ripgut changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. McNamara managing to control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ripgut stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McNamara swivels though and keeps the full guard. Ripgut throwing strikes but missing. McNamara wants to sweep here but Ripgut controlling him for the moment. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McNamara trying to keep a closed guard but Ripgut is proving a slippery customer.

A lull in the action here as McNamara stalls from top position. McNamara trying to control the action but Ripgut is working from the bottom. Ripgut striking from the bottom but nothing landed.

McNamara is keen to just control but Ripgut is a slippery customer. Ripgut is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but McNamara pulls his head out easily. Ripgut is looking to escape. McNamara content to control rather than advance. Ripgut is not content to let McNamara control the position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Ripgut tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. McNamara moves into full mount! Ripgut won't be happy about that! McNamara can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Ripgut is looking to escape. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Sean McNamara will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

McNamara wants to control from the top but Ripgut keeps moving. Ripgut looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Ripgut looking for submissions from the bottom but instead McNamara passes into side control.

McNamara moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. McNamara wants to control but Ripgut is keeping him busy. Sean Ripgut showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

McNamara just content to control the position. Ripgut throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.

He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. McNamara works his way back into a safe position though. McNamara wants to control from the top but Ripgut keeps moving. Ripgut is looking for a triangle but McNamara pushes his legs off easily.
McNamara got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ripgut has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, McNamara has managed to get both his arms back between Ripgut's legs - danger averted. McNamara is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Ripgut throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Ripgut postures up in McNamara's guard and throws a big left but McNamara blocks it. He'll be looking to tighten that up but McNamara can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! McNamara trying to control the position from guard on top but Ripgut is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ripgut working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. McNamara doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. McNamara manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. McNamara showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

and Pitbull counters with a single leg into guard. Norris didn't expect that. Pitbull slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Norris is trying to control the position but Pitbull postures up. Pitbull tries to free his leg and advance position but Norris is retaining full guard. Pitbull really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Pitbull is stalling in the full guard. Norris looking to control.

Pitbull motions for Norris to come forward. Pitbull throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Pitbull lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Norris scores with a hook. Norris throws a jab when Pitbull was well out of range. Pitbull feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pitbull lands a couple of elbows. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Pitbull controls from within his opponent's guard.

Nice work there by Norris! Pitbull tries to land a sweep but no joy. Pitbull has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Norris trying to control but Pitbull is working from the bottom. Pitbull looking for a sweep. Not yet Pitbull, not yet. Pitbull throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Pitbull looking to pass the guard. Pitbull advances to half guard. Norris is staying active underneath Pitbull, who seems content to just control the action from this position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Pitbull is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

He's persisting with it as Norris sprawls well. Norris wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Pitbull gets slowly back to his feet. Pitbull shoots in for a double leg but Norris sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Despite the aggression on Norris's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Norris misses with a looping left. Pitbull avoids a punch combination nicely.

That's one minute gone in the round. Pitbull goes for a double leg but Norris avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Norris continues to drive forward. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alan Pitbull. That's going to take a lot out of him. Norris turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Pitbull changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Norris looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Pitbull has an Americana. Norris didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Pitbull is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Pitbull hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Alan Pitbull! Alan Pitbull really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Nutrition 160 logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty. Grant Norris was interviewed post fight and said 'I made a lot of mental mistakes and it cost me. Lapses of concentration can break ya. I'll be back, bank on it. '.

Burgundy's coach down at Get Ripped or Die Mirin was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Burgundy's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Jonhson. Kvasov shrugs it off though. A punch lands to the side of Jonhson 's head but he takes it in his stride. Jonhson jabs Kvasov to the body, keeping him at a distance. Sloppy strikes from Kvasov. Those never looked like landing. Kvasov lands with a cross. Jonhson pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Kvasov throws a right and a left that Jonhson avoids nicely. Jonhson jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit. Kvasov throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Jonhson looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Jonhson has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Jonhson scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Kvasov throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Kvasov throws a sloppy head kick and Jonhson moves out of range easily. The crowd are loving this. Kvasov throws a nice looking combination but Jonhson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Kvasov feints and then cracks Jonhson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Jonhson down. Kvasov fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.

Kvasov throws the left hand but Jonhson avoids the punch easily. A combination from Kvasov does no damage. Kvasov throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Jonhson is looking to wear down Kvasov with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Kvasov swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Kvasov doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Jonhson lands a head kick. Kvasov smiles back at him and beckons him forward. No joy there for Kvasov, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A little feinted left hand from Jonhson on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Jonhson throws a body shot but no joy. Jonhson gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Jonhson lands a nice shot that snaps Kvasov's head back.
Kvasov is rocked! Jonhson connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Kvasov covering up! Jonhson comes in with a big uppercut and Kvasov goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Jeff Jonhson! After winning the bout, Jeff Jonhson thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. MacDowell trying to hold on to Montoya's head to control him but Montoya postures up.
Montoya looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Montoya might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control MacDowell haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Montoya doesn't have the hooks in and MacDowell manages to turn into his guard.

Capwell lands with a straight right. Mustacho didn't see that one coming. Capwell takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Capwell has been working on his boxing with his coaches at LOD: Ground Zero in the buildup to the fight. Capwell shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mustacho as he avoids it easily. Mustacho lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
