The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bokhorst connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Mamed's hands.
Mamed tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bokhorst swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Bokhorst fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Bokhorst moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Nice sprawl there from Bokhorst as Mamed shoots in.
Mamed looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Bokhorst throws a leg kick which misses Mamed's front leg but catches the back leg as Mamed tries to avoid it.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Bokhorst, right into the meat.
Bokhorst ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Bokhorst uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Mamed shoots in looking for a takedown but Bokhorst manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Mamed's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Maarten Bokhorst has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ahmed Babilon Mamed.

and Bokhorst counters with a left and a right that stings Mamed.
Bokhorst avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Bokhorst drops Mamed with a beautiful combination! Mamed stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Bokhorst is looking for the KO!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Amis Pelle!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ahokas throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Pelle on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Pelle takes one to the chin there.
Ahokas works the jab nicely.
Ahokas dodges the punch combination from Pelle.
Ahokas lands a glancing blow to the side of Pelle's head.
Ahokas moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Pelle misses with a hook.

Oh, that's a big right hand from Ahokas and Pelle goes tumbling to the canvas! Ahokas follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.

Pelle is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ahokas is trying to control the action in half guard but Pelle is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Pelle is still in real trouble! Can Ahokas finish him?
Ahokas perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Pelle seems to have recovered his senses.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pelle can do anything to dispel that myth.

Ahokas scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Ahokas uses his free foot to push down on Pelle's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Pelle.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ahokas has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Ahokas is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Pelle goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Ahokas!

Juha Ahokas decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
