Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sean Rodey!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodey tries for a takedown but PJ sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Rodey will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Rodey is looking to clinch but PJ is avoiding it.
A slow jab from PJ misses its intended target.
Sean Rodey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rodey is looking to slow PJ down with leg kicks.

Rodey fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. PJ sprawls well initially but Rodey persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Rodey has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, PJ works to full guard.

PJ closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

PJ's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
PJ wants to control from the top but Rodey keeps moving.
PJ stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rodey swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Rodey bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in PJ's guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rodey accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Poopdeck PJ will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Rodey is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Rodey cracks PJ with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Rodey uses good head movement to avoid the hook from PJ.
PJ connects with a right hand. Rodey shakes it off.
PJ loads up on a big right hand but Rodey slips the punch.

PJ will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
PJ throws a lazy right hand but Rodey sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

PJ shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than PJ was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Eipper kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is I Got A Feeling. Lopez has chosen The Kinks - Apeman as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Walker's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Walker wants to hold on but Machin pushes him away.
Machin fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Walker is in a horrible position here. Machin smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Machin has hold of Walker's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Walker manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
