Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Leer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sherif Fathy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fathy has chosen Eat You Alive as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

12 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sherif Fathy! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fathy moves out of range of the strikes. A little jabbing left from Fathy on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Fathy has managed to clinch.
Leer is looking for a takedown. Fathy with an attempt at a knee that misses.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Fathy. Fathy tries a knee to the head but Leer blocks it.
Leer tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Fathy just stands there and leans against the cage. A nice left hand lands by Fathy.
Leer fails to pull guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Leer uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Fathy. Leer fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. A chopping leg kick lands by Fathy. Fathy tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Fathy fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Leer checks it well. Leer will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Fathy throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Leer tries to counter with a takedown but Fathy is quick to defend against it. Leer walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Leer misses with a body shot.
Fathy jabs at Leer's body. Leer on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. No luck for Leer with that takedown attempt. Fathy appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.

Fathy throws out a counter right but Leer avoids it with no problem. Fathy connects with a looping right hand.
Fathy moves into range and clinches up with Leer. Fathy tries a knee to the head but Leer blocks it.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Fathy seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Leer does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Leer trying to control here.

Fathy slows the pace down in half guard. Leer won't allow Fathy to pass to mount. Fathy thows a huge punch but Leer dodges it nicely.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Leer shoots for a takedown but Fathy saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Fathy misses with a low kick. Fathy throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Leer takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Fathy rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Leer moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Mike Leer is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Fathy lands with an overhand left. Fathy is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Fathy stuffs the takedown attempt from Leer. Leer gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike Leer. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fathy slaps away a takedown attempt from Leer, before circling back to the center of the mat. Fathy scores with a nice body kick.

Fathy with the ground and pound but Leer regains half guard under the barage of strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fathy has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Leer misses the shot to the body. Fathy bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Leer's head. Leer stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fathy swivels though and keeps the full guard. Leer looking to sit in guard and control but Fathy gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Leer is not content to let Fathy control the position.

It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Tyroon wants it to stay on the feet. Tyroon appears to be looking for a big counter. Hunt with a lazy takedown attempt and Tyroon connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Brad Tyroon is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Hunt looks winded! Tyroon with a jab. Hunt with a lazy takedown attempt and Tyroon counters with a nice uppercut. Hunt shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Tyroon sprawls well. Tyroon wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hunt gets slowly back to his feet. Crack! Tyroon connects with the perfect overhand right and Hunt falls face first to the canvas. Timbeeeeeeeer! Beautiful knockout for Tyroon!

A combination from Miric does no damage. Sabre with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Miric to score with a decent uppercut. Miric's corner calls for a 1-2. Miric obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Miric throws a right and a left that Sabre avoids nicely. Miric lands with a nice body kick. A slapping leg kick lands for Miric.

Rook shoots for a double leg takedown but Massey sprawls well. He's pushed Rook's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Rook cracks Massey with a right hand to the side of the head.

Massey uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Rook has time to react. Massey's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! William lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Trane at a distance.
William tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Trane attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. William instigates a clinch. Trane prevents a body shot from William. William tries to throw a body punch but Trane avoids it by throwing William back against the cage. A short left from Trane. William's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. William dodges the punch combination from Trane.

William is nestled in close to Trane, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. A little trickle of blood came out of Trane's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!

It looks like Zoey Malone has been cut. Malone has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Malone plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Ra works over Malone's head and body with a nice combination. Ra doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Malone throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
