Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gustavo Santos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kyle Dillashaw! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Alexandre Firmino and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dillashaw wants to clinch and Dillashaw takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Santos connects with a jab. Santos lands a leg kick that knocks Dillashaw off balance momentarily. A head kick misses from Dillashaw. Santos was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Santos looks to land a combination. Dillashaw sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
It looks like Kyle Dillashaw has been cut. Dillashaw takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Santos lands a jab to Dillashaw's midsection. Santos connects with a crushing straight, right on the bridge of Dillashaw's nose, sending him crumpling to the mat! That's really rocked Dillashaw - is he going to beat the count??? 4,5,6,7,8,9.....10 - he's not made it - this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Gustavo Santos! Our winner, Gustavo Santos, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Andre Vargas! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Seu Braga and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pearson fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Vargas moves into range and clinches up with Pearson. Vargas's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Vargas avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
No joy there for Pearson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Pearson doesn't manage to clinch there - Vargas circles away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Pearson looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Pearson tries to clinch up. Vargas throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Vargas gets in close and instigates a clinch. Pearson stalling in the clinch but Vargas improves position. Pearson pushes Vargas back against the ropes and lands a hook to the side of the head. Come on Vargas - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pearson is trying to maintain a safe position but Vargas gets an underhook and turns Pearson into the ropes. Vargas stalling.
Pearson digs a right hand underneath Vargas's ribcage. Vargas let out a lung full of air as it connected. Come on Vargas - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Vargas displaying some good clinch control by pressing Pearson up against the ropes. Vargas is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Pearson is defending well for now. Pearson looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Vargas leaning his opponent against the ropes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Vargas breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Pearson tries to keep at a distance but Vargas has taken the fight into the clinch. Pearson avoiding damage as Vargas throws knees to the body.

Vargas dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the ropes. Pearson scores with a hook to the body. Pearson lands a body shot. Vargas's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Pearson lands a nice shot to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vargas escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Andre Vargas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pearson cracks Vargas with a perfect right hand that drops him to the mat! Vargas is sitting up but I can't see if he's OK from my position. The referee's count has reached 5,6,7 and Vargas is still not up. Can he make it? 8,9,10! He's out! Vargas could not beat the count!
