The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Udo missing with a left hand there. Jimenez was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Velasquez is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Whiteman - that's hurt Velasquez badly! Oh, another knee lands and Velasquez is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Velasquez doesn't seem to be complaining.
