The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hein throws a right and a left that Brown Jr avoids nicely. Brown Jr really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Hein fails to land with a series of punches.
Brown Jr fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Brown Jr avoids a punch combination nicely.
Hein looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Hein misses with a straight right. Hein looks for the body kick but Brown Jr saw that one coming. Hein lands a left and a right that send Brown Jr crashing to the mat, dazed. Hein thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Jason Brown Jr has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hein lands a big right hook! Brown Jr looks hurt but is still standing! Hein lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Brown Jr falls down and Hein dives in with a huge hammer fist! Brown Jr's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Hein runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Long tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Long gets caught flat footed, as Kim shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Long working for a triangle but Kim defends it easily.
Kim trying to control the position from guard on top but Long is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Long is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Long looking for a guillotine here but Kim defends easily.

Kim thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Long lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Long looking to pass the guard. Long advances position into side control! You can see the frustration on Kim's face as Long controls the position. Long tries to advance to mount but Kim denies him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Long tries to score with some ground and pound. Kim controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Kim regains half guard there - taking advantage of Long's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. Long wants to pass to mount but Kim is defending the position. Kim tries to roll over but Long keeps him under control. Long works his way into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Long creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Kim sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Kim is not content to let Long control the position. Long misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Long goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Kim has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Long but great work by Kim. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Long is looking for a sweep. Kim tries for a kimura but Long is defending well. Kim looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Long controlling the position from side mount. Kim stops Long from passing to mount. Kim tries to bench press Long off him but Long keeps the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kim shoots in but no luck this time. A telegraphed right hand from Long misses the target. Long thuds a left hand into Kim's body. Tony Kim seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kim fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Long avoids it really well and circles away. Dong Long has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tony Kim. Kim goes for a double leg but Long avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Long continues to drive forward. Kim takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Long misses with an uppercut. Long throws a head kick but Kim moves out of range.

Long looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Long works his foot free and advances to mount. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Long controlling from mount.

Lothbrok won't be happy with that. Lothbrok prevents Ismael from moving into mount. Ismael wants to stand but Lothbrok has his arm trapped. Ismael is staying tight to Lothbrok's torso, preventing him from escaping. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ismael 's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ismael tries to advance to mount but can't.

Lothbrok rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ismael moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Lothbrok fails to land with a series of punches.

Lothbrok tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Ismael is able to avoid easily. Ismael raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. Sloppy strikes from Lothbrok. Those never looked like landing. Ismael with the counter takedown but Lothbrok avoids it easily. Ismael takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Ragnar Lothbrok is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Lothbrok tries to clinch up but Ismael circles away and keeps his distance. Ismael dives in for a single leg takedown but Lothbrok sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Lothbrok with a hook. Lothbrok clinches up against the cage. A nice left hand lands by Lothbrok.

We've been informed that Williams has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Williams chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Antona can pounce on him.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sukeyuki tries to clinch but Matsuo is having none of it. Decent striking displayed by Sukeyuki there. Matsuo shoots for a double leg takedown but Sukeyuki sprawls well. He's pushed Matsuo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Shot has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Aoki uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Reilly. Reilly lunges at Aoki with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Aoki's hand. Aoki throws a sloppy head kick and Reilly moves out of range easily. A nice leg kick lands there from Aoki. Reilly swinging wildly here.
Aoki cracks Reilly with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Aoki tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Reilly paws at him with a jab and circles away. Reilly fires out a quick counter leg kick but Aoki just manages to avoid it. A little jabbing left from Aoki on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Aoki throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Leonard loads up on a big right hand but Simons III slips the punch. Simons III shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Leonard as he avoids it easily. Leonard just misses with a punch to the body.
Simons III shoots in for a takedown but Leonard shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Simons III takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Simons III displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Leonard throws out the jab. Leonard works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Ghotha changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Leonardo throws a leg kick and Ghotha counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Leonardo! Leonardo is trying to get back to half guard. Ghotha has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. You can see that Ghotha has visibly slowed down as a result of the leg kicks Ghotha in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

Wha walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Bourque checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Bourque swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Wha misses the shot to the body. It looked like Bourque was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Wha. Wha wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Bourque lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
