0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Andrew Wood! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Damien Edna and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wood slaps away a takedown attempt from Won, before circling back to the center of the mat. Decent striking displayed by Won there. Wood feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Wood slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wood won't allow Won to sweep him here. Wood is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wood looking to pass the guard. Wood looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Let's hope that Wood has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Wood closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Wood lands in his opponent's guard. Wood's corner is telling him to maintain position.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Wood shoots in and gets a takedown into Won's guard. Won wants to sweep but no luck. Wood drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Wood as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Won screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Wood! Nice submission victory there!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lawson throws a head kick but Miletich moves out of range.
Miletich on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Miletich fails with a takedown attempt. A slow jab from Lawson misses its intended target. Miletich has Lawson up against the cage in a clinch.
Miletich tries a body shot but Lawson blocks it.
Miletich tries to work over Lawson's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Miletich working aggressively here.

Miletich stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lawson swivels though and keeps the full guard. Lawson wants to stand and escape but Miletich is having none of it. Lawson is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Miletich looking to sit in guard and control but Lawson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Miletich on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Miletich tries to get out of the position. Miletich throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Lawson has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Finch Farm. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Miletich working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lawson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lawson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Miletich is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Lawson is aware though and is defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lawson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Miletich looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Lawson wants to get up but he can't break Miletich's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Miletich is trying to keep Lawson in close.
Miletich is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Miletich is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Lawson is aware though and is defending well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Miletich is trying to hold Lawson in close to prevent damage but Lawson has managed to pass into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Miletich is looking to improve his position.
Miletich looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Lawson trying to pass the guard but Miletich defending well. Miletich is refusing to be controlled, as Lawson sits in half guard. Miletich drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Lawson manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Miletich has Lawson in his guard.

Lawson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Miletich had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Lawson defends it easily. Miletich manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lawson manages to get himself to full guard.
Miletich not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Lawson is looking to pass into half guard but Miletich pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Miletich is in guard. Miletich wants to control from the top but Lawson keeps moving. Miletich trying to move into half guard but instead Lawson has managed to sweep!

Lawson throws a series of punches but Miletich avoids them all with ease. Lawson throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Good shot there by Lawson. Lawson lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Lawson connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Miletich's hands. Lawson displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Miletich throws out the jab. Miletich with a poor takedown and Lawson counters with a nice uppercut.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lawson slaps away a takedown attempt from Miletich, before circling back to the center of the mat. Cooper Lawson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Miletich dives in and grabs Lawson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lawson pushes down on Miletich's head and hops out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Matt Miletich. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lawson connects with a body shot. Miletich misses with a shot to the body and Lawson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Lawson keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Lawson scores with a hook. Oh Miletich is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Cooper Lawson seems to be getting the better of the standup. Miletich looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Lawson connects with a solid leg kick. Miletich misses with a right hand and Lawson counters with a lovely shot to the body. Miletich seems to have got his legs back now. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Miletich needs to keep his hands up - Lawson had a free shot at his head there. Lawson connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Lawson lands a nice leg kick that just misses Miletich's sensitive parts. Miletich throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A slow jab from Miletich misses its intended target. Lawson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Miletich swings for the body but Lawson moves out of range.
Miletich with a lazy takedown attempt and Lawson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Miletich rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lawson moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Miletich thows a left - swing and a miss! Lawson tries a quick counter leg kick but Miletich is wise to it. Lawson connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Miletich's hands. Miletich takes a swing at Lawson's ribcage but misses. Lawson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Lawson is looking to chop away at Miletich's legs. Cooper Lawson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Lawson misses with a series of wild punches.
Miletich fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lawson manages to avoid it. Miletich misses with a body shot.
Lawson takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Miletich lunges at Lawson with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Lawson's hand. Miletich is looking to wear down Lawson with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Miletich takes a shot right to the bread basket. Lawson closes the distance and lands a one-two. Miletich misses with a hook. Lawson looks like he wants to counter punch here. Lawson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Miletich was well out of range. Poor timing from Lawson. Lawson throws a right hand that Miletich ducks under and follows up with a left that Miletich also avoids with ease. Miletich misses with an uppercut. Lawson saw that one coming. Despite the aggression on Lawson's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Miletich ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lawson moves away. Lawson fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Miletich throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Miletich moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Lawson.
Lawson lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Miletich misses with a takedown letting Lawson counter with a right hand. This has been an exciting period of action! Lawson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Lawson turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Miletich uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lawson.
A decent looking cross lands there for Lawson. Miletich on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Cooper Lawson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Lawson bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Lawson does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Miletich shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lawson pinned against the cage. Lawson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Lawson swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Miletich misses with a jab to the body
and Lawson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
And that's the end of the fight! Cooper Lawson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Miletich has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pounds throws a body punch but Mccarthy moves out of range. Pounds misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. A lazy left from Mccarthy finds it's target. We've been hearing reports that Pounds has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Pounds throws the left hand but Mccarthy avoids the punch easily. Mccarthy lands with a hook. Pounds tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Pounds attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Tanner Pounds seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mccarthy lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Pounds avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Mccarthy's coach down at Fokai Academy was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Mccarthy's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mccarthy lands a jab to the nose. Pounds shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Pounds is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pounds wants to take a breather but Mccarthy is having none of it. Pounds winds up and cracks Mccarthy with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Mccarthy on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Mccarthy tries to get to full guard but Pounds has control of the leg. Mccarthy is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Pounds scores with a couple of nice shots. Pounds drops an elbow to the side of Mccarthy's head. Pounds is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Mccarthy wants to get back to his feet.

If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Mccarthy is looking to improve his position but Pounds isn't that keen on the idea. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mccarthy can do anything to dispel that myth. Pounds lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Mccarthy hang on? Pounds with good strikes from the mount here!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lovelady shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Niemayer counters with a nice uppercut. Niemayer throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Lovelady. Lovelady fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Niemayer checks it well. Niemayer blocks a leg kick. Lovelady looks to land a left hand but Niemayer moved out of range nicely. Niemayer on the wrong end of a nice low kick. That's one minute gone in the round. Niemayer stuns Lovelady with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Niemayer stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Lovelady. Lovelady misses with a low kick. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Niemayer! But no joy. Lovelady attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Niemayer throws out a counter right but Lovelady avoids it with no problem. Lovelady slips a jab from Niemayer. Lovelady dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Niemayer. That did some damage! Lovelady is looking to score with low kicks. Lovelady throws a head kick but Niemayer moves out of range.
Niemayer swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. An inside leg kick lands from Lovelady. Niemayer blocks a head kick by Lovelady.
Niemayer is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Lovelady with a body shot. Lovelady thows a leg kick but Niemayer checks it and Niemayer counters with a series of strikes. Lovelady will be more careful next time no doubt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lovelady tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Niemayer is able to avoid easily. It seemed like Niemayer was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Niemayer takes a kick to the side of the head. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A chopping leg kick lands by Lovelady. Lovelady thows a leg kick but Niemayer checks it and Niemayer counters with a straight right hand. A low kick from Lovelady misses and Niemayer counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Lukas Niemayer is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Lovelady lands with a slapping head kick. Lovelady throws a leg kick and Niemayer counters with a crisp right hand that drops Lovelady! Niemayer lets Lovelady back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Lovelady is rocked! A low kick from Lovelady is predictable there and Niemayer counters with a huge left! Lovelady is in big trouble! He's backing up but Niemayer isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Lovelady from any more damage. A dominating finish by Niemayer!

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Andries Habel! The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Skip Squint and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Samoan feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Habels jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Habel goes for a double leg but Samoan avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Samoan continues to drive forward. A little feinted left hand from Samoan on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Samoan throws a body punch but Habel moves out of range. Habel closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Samoan misses with a body shot.
Habel tries to counter with a clinch but Samoan shakes him off and moves away. Habel takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Habel walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Samoan digs a good body shot into Habel's ribs. Habel misses with an uppercut. Samoan saw that one coming. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Habel throws a jab when Samoan was well out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Habel dives in for a single leg takedown but Samoan sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Samoan throws a body shot but no joy. The Samoan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Habel throws the left hand but Samoan avoids the punch easily. Samoan lands a nice hook to Habel's body. Habel takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. A punch lands to the side of Habel 's head but he takes it in his stride. Samoan takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Habel's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Samoan connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Habel scrambles back to his feet. Habel loads up on a big right hand but Samoan slips the punch. Habel just misses with a punch to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Habel fails to land the takedown. Samoan is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight. The Samoan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andries Habel. Samoan uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Habel. It looked like Samoan wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. A good leg kick by Samoan. Habel takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Samoan dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Habel takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Samoan tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Samoan ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Habel moves away. Habel chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Samoan can pounce on him.
Habel drops his hands momentarily and Samoan takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Samoan is looking to wear down Habel with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Habel throws a series of punches but Samoan moves out of range. Samoan lands a jab. Habel throws a hook but Samoan blocks it. Samoan misses the shot to the body. Habel replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Samoan blocks it well. Habel has a takedown stuffed. Samoan was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Samoan catches Habel with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Samoan tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Habel was well out of range. Poor timing from Samoan. Habel on the wrong end of a nice hook. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Habel misses with the body kick and Samoan counters with a good low kick that Habel was not able to check. Habel takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Samoan slips a jab and a cross from Habel.

Samoan bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Habel might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Samoan has got the better of the exchanges. Habel shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Samoan but Samoan pushes him off and we're back to square one. Samoan ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Samoan scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Samoan connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Habel takes one on the button. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Habel has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Habel is rocked! BOOM! Samoan lands a beautiful left hook that drops Habel. Habel tries to recover but Samoan is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Habel lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). The Samoan! A relieved looking The Samoan thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Garu misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Garu has been working on his balance at The Clinic , so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Belichick. No luck for Garu with that takedown attempt. Belichick lands a lovely overhand right. Belichick displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Garu. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kan Garu. That's going to take a lot out of him. Garu wants to clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Belichick misses with a jab, cross combination.

Garu tries for a takedown but Belichick sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Belichick unleashes a big counter combination but Garu bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Garu pushes Belichick up against the cage in a clinch. Belichick is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Belichick is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Garu looking to throw knees to the head but Belichick is blocking nicely.
Garu is trying to pull guard but Belichick has him pressed against the cage. Belichick working hard to break the clinch. Belichick lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Garu pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Garu fails with the takedown. Belichick defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Garu.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Garu shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Garu tries to score a power double leg takedown but Belichick sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Garu somewhat. Belichick does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Belichick connects with a good right hand that stumbles Garu. Garu circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Belichick circles away from the clinch attempt.
Belichick let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Garu. Belichick throws a counter combo. Excellent takedown into side control there by Garu.
That's three minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Belichick's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Belichick wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Garu is looking to take a break and control but Belichick is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Belichick is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Belichick tries to improve position but can't. Belichick pushes Garu away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Garu gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Garu wants to lay and pray for a moment but Belichick keeps working.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Garu fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Belichick tries to bum rush Garu with a series of wild strikes but Garu uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Belichick leaves Garu with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Garu has Belichick pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Belichick manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Belichick scores with an uppercut up the middle. Garu fails to pull guard.

Garu stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Belichick is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Belichick misses with a wild combination.
Kan Garu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Belichick stuffs the takedown attempt from Garu. Garu gets slowly back to his feet. No luck for Garu with that takedown attempt. Garu is trying hard to land a takedown here. Belichick sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Garu lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Garu goes for a double leg but Belichick avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Belichick continues to drive forward. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Belichick uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Garu.

A combination from Garu does no damage. Belichick is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Garu with a body shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Garu lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Garu closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Belichick's guard. Garu wants to control from the top but Belichick keeps moving. Belichick is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Garu frees his head nicely. Oh but Belichick has switched to an armbar! Garu is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
