The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Staal could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Staal tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Boy was well out of range. Poor timing from Staal.

Theros Staal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Wieneke shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Dame manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Dame working for a triangle but Wieneke defends it easily.
Wieneke is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Wieneke has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Wieneke stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dame swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Wieneke is working hard here to advance position.
Wieneke throws an elbow that misses. Dame uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Wieneke's guard. Nice move by Dame!

Wieneke bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Dame thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Wieneke throws a strike but Dame rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.


Wieneke has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Dame is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Wieneke.

Dame has hold of Wieneke's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Wieneke seems comfortable defending it but Dame has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Wieneke is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Wieneke is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Dame couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Mouba throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Boychello's waist but Boychello gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mouba off to one side.

Boychello cracks Mouba with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Mouba falls to his knees and Boychello doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
