The bell rings for round one and we are underway! LaBeouf on the wrong end of a kick to the body.

Gerrard lands a nice hook to LaBeouf's body. LaBeouf takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Gerrard misses the shot to the body. Nice defenses there by LaBeouf. LaBeouf throws a head kick that half lands.
It looks like Mick Gerrard has been cut. Gerrard lands a glancing blow to the side of LaBeouf's head. LaBeouf takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gerrard scores with a hook to the body. LaBeouf takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Gerrard tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. A head punch on the inside from Gerrard fails to land. LaBeouf turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and LaBeouf manages to end up in side control. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw LaBeouf working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Gerrard tries to improve position but can't. LaBeouf prevents Gerrard from escaping the position. You can see the frustration on Gerrard's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. LaBeouf in side control, throwing shots but Gerrard defends.

The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Vilkas has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Vilkas and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! War lands with a cross. Cooke tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but War was well out of range. Poor timing from Cooke. Cooke definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Cooke fails with an attempt to clinch.

It looks like Juan Velasquez has been cut. We've been told by Velasquez's head coaches at Montreal Elite Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Sunshine throws a right hand that Velasquez ducks under and follows up with a left that Velasquez also avoids with ease. As Sunshine looks to move away, Velasquez throws a big counter combo bu Sunshine just gets out of the way. A slapping leg kick lands for Velasquez.

Velasquez moves into range and connects with a jab. A big left from Sunshine misses. Velasquez looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.

Sunshine throws a right and a left that Velasquez avoids nicely. Sunshine jabbing away but nothing is landing. Velasquez swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Velasquez scores with a jab to the body. Sunshine might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Velasquez steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Sunshine. Velasquez misses the shot to the body. Velasquez goes for a small jab and connects. Now Velasquez goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Sunshine stumbles back but Velasquez runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Sunshine to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Sunshine will ever be the same after a knockout like that.
