I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Andrey Voronkoff was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

9 - 18 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Andrey Voronkoff! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Daniel Franklin and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rivera tries to clinch and Voronkoff counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Voronkoff. Rivera is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Voronkoff distracts Rivera with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McBain scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Aoki is staying active underneath McBain, who seems content to just control the action from this position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McBain takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. McBain works his way into side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McBain is looking to take a break and control but Aoki is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
