15 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kuula Natsi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Vihtori Kellolinnake! The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Arvi Lind and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kellolinnake lands a nice shot that snaps Natsi's head back.
Kellolinnake displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Natsi. Natsi fails with the takedown. Natsi on the wrong end of a nice hook. Natsi stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Kellolinnake. Kellolinnake slips under a jab. Natsi seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Kellolinnake scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Natsi doesn't seem bothered though. Kellolinnake swings and misses with a hook to the body.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Natsi shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kellolinnake as he avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kuula Natsi. That's going to take a lot out of him. Natsi shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kellolinnake as he jumps to the side. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Kellolinnake! But no joy. Kellolinnake lands a leg kick that knocks Natsi off balance momentarily.

Kellolinnake bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Kellolinnake lands an overhand right. Kellolinnake delivers a nice body kick. A nice inside leg kick there by Kellolinnake. That's going to slow Natsi down. Natsi doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Kellolinnake with a body punch. A glancing blow. A punch lands to the side of Natsi 's head but he takes it in his stride. Nice takedown defense from Kellolinnake. No joy for Natsi on that attempt. Kellolinnake is clearly looking to counter with head kicks. Kellolinnake feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Natsi's calf. Vihtori Kellolinnake seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kellolinnake misses with a double jab.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Natsi steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Kellolinnake. That one must have hurt. Kellolinnake ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Natsi walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Natsi shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Natsi pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kellolinnake is keeping the position for now. Kellolinnake trying to keep a closed guard but Natsi is proving a slippery customer.
Kellolinnake looking for a sweep. Not yet Kellolinnake, not yet. Natsi sitting in guard, not really doing much. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Natsi got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kellolinnake has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Natsi has managed to get both his arms back between Kellolinnake's legs - danger averted. Natsi slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Kellolinnake tries to bench press Natsi off him but Natsi keeps the position. Kellolinnake is still trying to improve position. Kellolinnake on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Kellolinnake has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it. Kellolinnake is trying to improve his position. Natsi has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Natsi is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kellolinnake is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Natsi working away.

Natsi controlling the position from side mount. Natsi working the body and head with strikes. Kellolinnake can't do much from the bottom here. Natsi cracks Kellolinnake with an elbow. That is naaassty. Natsi lands a decent elbow from side control. Natsi is looking to take a break and control but Kellolinnake is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Natsi thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Vihtori Kellolinnake dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Nice shot by Kellolinnake. Kuula Natsi is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Kellolinnake tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Natsi changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Kellolinnake jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Natsi tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Kellolinnake defends well and Natsi ends up having to push Kellolinnake into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Kellolinnake catches Natsi with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Natsi changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kellolinnake looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kellolinnake is looking to regain half guard here but Natsi keeps moving and retains side control.

Kellolinnake is trying to control Natsi's posture but Natsi avoids it. Kellolinnake has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Natsi scores with punches from side control. Kellolinnake gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Kellolinnake is looking to improve his position.

As Devlin tries to get set, West tries to push him back and clinch up but Devlin manages to avoid the attempt. Donk. Strapp catches Wyrnn right on the button with a cross. Wyrnn takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Wyrnn just misses with a punch to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Strapp cracks Wyrnn with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Wyrnn slips under a jab. Wyrnn looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Strapp tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Wyrnn uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Strapp.
Wyrnn throws a combination. Strapp tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Strapp has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight. Strapp lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Wyrnn at a distance.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Strapp lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Wyrnn has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Wyrnn and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Strapp takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
A low kick from Wyrnn misses and Strapp decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Wyrnn's guard. Strapp missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Strapp stays in close to Wyrnn's body and controls the position.

The strikes coming from Strapp are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Strapp trying to control the action but Wyrnn is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Strapp lands some shots froms side control. Strapp tries to score with some ground and pound. Wyrnn controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Strapp misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Wyrnn struggling a bit here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wyrnn defending against the ground and pound. Strapp throws an elbow but Wyrnn slips to the side and avoids it well. Strapp has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Strapp throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Wyrnn works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Strapp controlling the pace. Strapp throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Strapp stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Wyrnn ducks under a wild hook from Strapp. Wyrnn uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Strapp. Strapp lands with a good body shot. Wyrnn looks to land a left hand but Strapp moved out of range nicely.

Wyrnn is looking to counter the offense by Strapp and move into the clinch. This has been an exciting period of action! Strapp throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Strapp throws a leg kick but Wyrnn sees it coming and checks it nicely. Strapp tries a low kick but Wyrnn avoids it. Strapp scores with a decent looking hook. Wyrnn avoids the body shot from Strapp.

Strapp darts in looking for a takedown but Wyrnn gets double underhooks and turns Strapp into the cage. Wyrnn looking to score a takedown here. Strapp is defending well but Wyrnn drives through and ends up in Strapp's guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Wyrnn passes Strapp's left leg - he's now in half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Wyrnn tries to control but Strapp wriggling away. Strapp wants to control but Wyrnn is having none of it. Wyrnn has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Strapp's face.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Wyrnn avoids the attempt from Strapp to control.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Runkman fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Stepp looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Stepp has closed the distance and engaged Runkman in a clinch.
Stepp is trying to break the clinch but Runkman has him pressed against the cage. Runkman gets control of Stepp's arms and successfully pulls guard. Runkman will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Runkman tries to land a sweep but no joy. Stepp trying to control but Runkman is working from the bottom. Stepp makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Stepp stands up over Runkman, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Stepp postures up in Runkman's guard and throws a big left but Runkman blocks it. Runkman looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Stepp is rocked! Stepp tries to get back to half guard but can't. Stepp is still in real trouble! Can Runkman finish him? Stepp takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Runkman's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.

Lind throws a lazy right hand but Woite sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. It looked like Woite was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Lind gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Lind is rocked! Woite lands a brutal uppercut that launches Lind off his feet! Lind tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hartunnen closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kesti circles away. Hartunnen tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kesti sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hartunnen somewhat. Kesti drives through and clinches with Hartunnen against the cage.
Hartunnen tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Kesti just stands there and leans against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Timo Hartunnen. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hartunnen fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Kesti pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Hartunnen looks for a takedown but Kesti sprawls well. Hartunnen tries to clinch there but Kesti circles away.
Kesti closes the distance and clinches. Hartunnen is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Kesti to keep the fight standing. Kesti's coach down at Nordic Top Team was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Kesti's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hartunnen jumps guard but Kesti stands there with Hartunnen around his waist. Hartunnen gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Hartunnen dives in and grabs Kesti's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kesti pushes down on Hartunnen's head and hops out. Hartunnen ducks right into an uppercut from Kesti. Kesti fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hartunnen, pushing him back against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kesti pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Hartunnen moves in looking to clinch but Kesti pushes him off. Hartunnen looks for a takedown but Kesti sprawls well. It seemed like Kesti was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Hartunnen fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kesti sprawls well initially but Hartunnen persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Hartunnen is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Kesti has managed to free his arm - good work. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kesti can do anything to dispel that myth. Kesti kicks Hartunnen off and gets back to his feet. Kesti closes the distance and pushes Hartunnen back into the cage. Kesti manages to break the clinch.
Hartunnen looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Kesti lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kesti throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Hartunnen's head. Kesti connects with a solid leg kick. Kesti leaves Hartunnen with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Hartunnen shoots in looking for a takedown but Kesti manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hartunnen's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kesti darts in and clinches Hartunnen up against the cage. Hartunnen jumps guard but Kesti turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Kesti breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kesti lands a jab-cross combination. Hartunnen tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kesti sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hartunnen somewhat. Kesti scores with a one two! Hartunnen had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Hartunnen is rocked! Kesti throws a combination. Hartunnen tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Oh Hartunnen is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Kesti clinches with his opponent.
Kesti breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Kesti throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Hartunnen has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Kesti. Kesti throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Hartunnen colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Kesti as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Hartunnen is left battered and dazed whilst Kesti and his camp cheer!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Aatos Kesti! Timo Hartunnen was interviewed post fight and said 'I want a rematch as soon as possible. This was a fluke victory by my opponent and I will put him in his place the next time we meet.'.

No joy there for Penaali, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

McDonald bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Penaali's head backwards. McDonald lands a big uppercut and Penaali crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Penaali looks OK. McDonald waves Penaali back to his feet!

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Davor Langerholc (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Giampaolo Pietravallo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Giampaolo Pietravallo told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
22 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Davor Langerholc! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Giampaolo Pietravallo! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Anni Minnemäki and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pietravallo misses with a low kick as Langerholc jumps back. Langerholc feinted with a counter takedown. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Langerholc checks a leg kick. Langerholc drops down looking for a counter takedown but Pietravallo sprawls and moves away. Pietravallo throws a body punch but Langerholc moves out of range. Pietravallo fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Langerholc is out of range. Langerholc appears to be looking for a counter takedown. We've been told by Langerholc's head coaches at IMMA Gym of Elite ASS that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Pietravallo changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Langerholc looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Langerholc is not content to let Pietravallo control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pietravallo tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Langerholc is not content to let Pietravallo control the position. Pietravallo is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Langerholc sneaks back into half guard. Pietravallo thows a huge punch but Langerholc dodges it nicely.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Pietravallo is keen to just control but Langerholc is a slippery customer. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pietravallo scoring with strikes to the body and head. Langerholc keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Pietravallo throws a strike but Langerholc avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Pietravallo is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Pietravallo looking to pass the guard.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Pietravallo throws a leg kick which misses Langerholc's front leg but catches the back leg as Langerholc tries to avoid it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pietravallo tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Langerholc feinted with a counter takedown. Pietravallo shoots for a takedown but Langerholc saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Langerholc feinted with a counter takedown. Pietravallo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Langerholc moves away. Langerholc drops down looking for a counter takedown but Pietravallo sprawls and moves away. Jab, jab by Pietravallo - just one landing. Pietravallo misses with a leg kick and Langerholc counters with a single leg into guard. Pietravallo didn't expect that. Pietravallo seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Pietravallo is trying to control the position but Langerholc postures up. Langerholc trying to control but Pietravallo is working from the bottom. Langerholc tries to free his leg and advance position but Pietravallo is retaining full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pietravallo controlling the position. Pietravallo's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Langerholc postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Pietravallo bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Langerholc's guard. Pietravallo won't allow Langerholc to sweep him here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pietravallo looking to sit in guard and control but Langerholc gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Langerholc might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Pietravallo lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Pietravallo throws an elbow that misses. Langerholc uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Pietravallo's guard. Nice move by Langerholc!

Langerholc gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Pietravallo. A looping hook to the body misses from Pietravallo. Langerholc does a little dance to reset his feet. Pietravallo misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Langerholc.
Good work by Langerholc as he checks the leg kick. Langerholc tries to counter with a takedown but Pietravallo is quick to defend against it. Pietravallo looks to throw the jab but Langerholc is out of range. Langerholc half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pietravallo throws a leg kick that misses. Langerholc changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Pietravallo throws a quick inside leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pietravallo swings away with a leg kick that misses. Pietravallo shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Langerholc's guard. Pietravallo postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Pietravallo trying to control but Langerholc is working from the bottom. Pietravallo must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Pietravallo is in close to Langerholc's body, working some short punches and elbows. Pietravallo missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Pietravallo throws an elbow that misses. Langerholc uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Pietravallo's guard. Nice move by Langerholc! Langerholc pushes down on Pietravallo's leg and manages to get into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pietravallo avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Langerholc. Pietravallo tries to get to full guard but Langerholc has control of the leg. Langerholc seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Pietravallo does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Langerholc throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Pietravallo is looking to improve his position.
Pietravallo has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Kebab House. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Langerholc not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Pietravallo is looking to control Langerholc's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Pietravallo avoid being mounted? Langerholc passes to full mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pietravallo wants to control but Langerholc is having none of it. Langerholc with the ground and pound from mount. Langerholc lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Davor Langerholc overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. The referee warns Pietravallo that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Langerholc avoids the attempt from Pietravallo to control. Pietravallo is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Langerholc is staying active. Langerholc postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Pietravallo bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Langerholc and the fight is over!
