On his way into the cage it seems that Katsuyori Shibata has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Katsuyori Shibata seems to be OK! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shibata fails to land with a series of punches.
Uru keeps the fight on the outside. A countering left hand to the body from Uru misses. Shibata has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Great Bash Heel in the buildup to the fight. Shibata throws a nice looking combination but Uru bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Uru now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Shibata falls off balance throwing a combination

Bustinchapsup is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Bustinchapsup avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kodeinich loads up on a big right hand but Reschke slips the punch. And Reschke responds with a good body kick, but Kodeinich manages to step out the way in time. Kodeinich ducks under a wild hook from Reschke. Kodeinich was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Reschke lands a right hook to the body.

Nurgomedgo goes for a double leg but Tural avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Tural continues to drive forward. Tural gets a clinch. I was talking to Tural's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Nurgomedgo is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Tural gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Nurgomedgo is working for takedown but Tural is calmly controlling the position for now. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Opdauhl displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Arroyo throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Opdauhl stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Opdauhl keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Arroyo. Opdauhl shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Arroyo but Arroyo pushes him off and we're back to square one. Arroyo feints and then cracks Opdauhl's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Opdauhl down. Arroyo moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Arroyo's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Opdauhl connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Arroyo scrambles back to his feet. Opdauhl swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Opdauhl throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Arroyo decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Opdauhl's guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Arroyo stands and throws Opdauhl's legs to the side, diving into side control. Opdauhl wants to control but Arroyo postures up. Arroyo is looking to take a break and control but Opdauhl is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Opdauhl tries to get back to half guard but can't.

A low kick from Arroyo lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Opdauhl has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Opdauhl and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Opdauhl takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Arroyo walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. A quick uppercut on the inside from Opdauhl. Opdauhl is pressed up against the cage. Arroyo has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Opdauhl down to the mat. Opdauhl avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Opdauhl throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Arroyo. Arroyo avoids the body shot from Opdauhl.

That's four minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Opdauhl looks for the body kick but Arroyo saw that one coming. Arroyo slips a jab and a cross from Opdauhl.

Opdauhl lands a really nice looking cross but Arroyo seems unphased.
Arroyo misses with a leg kick so Opdauhl counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Opdauhl landing some decent shots from guard. Opdauhl trying to control the position from guard on top but Arroyo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
And that's the end of the fight! Gary Opdauhl comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Opdauhl has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carwin fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Carwin is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Piechnicki is defending well. Piechnicki is trying to force a seperation but Carwin has the dominant position. Carwin lands a body punch in the clinch. Carwin lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Piechnicki backwards. Carwin lands a body shot. Carwin wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Piechnicki has him pressed against the cage. Piechnicki tries a knee to the head but Carwin blocks it.
A frustrated look appears on Carwin's face as he tries to break the clinch. Carwin tries to break free but Piechnicki pushes him back against the cage. Carwin takes a knee right on the jaw!
Piechnicki is looking to control Carwin's arms but Carwin gets an underhook and turns him. Now Piechnicki has his back to the cage. Carwin goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A short right from Carwin. Carwin lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Piechnicki keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Carwin's efforts to push away. Carwin breaks the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carwin dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Carwin's jab looks to have found its range, popping Piechnicki under the eye.
It looks like Szymon Piechnicki has been cut. Jab by Carwin. Carwin connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Carwin throws a leg kick but Piechnicki sees it coming and moves out of range. Piechnicki moves in looking to clinch but Carwin pushes him off. No joy there for Carwin, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Piechnicki tries to counter by closing the distance. Carwin keeps the fight on the outside. Carwin catches Piechnicki with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Piechnicki has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Piechnicki is rocked! Carwin ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking Piechnicki out cold! The fight is over!
