The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bulli has a takedown stuffed. Bulli throws a sloppy head kick and Meatball moves out of range easily. Meatball closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Meatball lands in his opponent's guard. Meatball postures up and lands a big shot to Bulli's brow. Bulli looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Meatball drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Meatball jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bulli tries to land a sweep but no joy. Meatball postures up in Bulli's guard and throws a big left but Bulli blocks it. Meatball pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bulli is keeping the position for now. Meatball landing with the ground and pound. Bulli trying to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bulli keeping moving, preventing Meatball from controlling successfully. Meatball gets to his feet. Bulli looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Bulli gets in close and instigates a clinch. Bulli trying to stall but Meatball improves his position.
Bulli seems a little flustered. He's come in with the intention of controlling the clinch but Meatball is preventing him from doing so, at least for the moment. Bulli is breathing heavily. Meatball escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kuma misses with a takedown attempt - Volti sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Adriano Volti seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kuma misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Volti shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Kuma is positioning himself well to prevent Volti advancing to mount. Volti sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Kuma defending well though. Volti not doing much here.

Volti is breathing heavily. Kuma won't allow Volti to sweep him here. Kuma will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Kuma trying to control the position from guard on top but Volti is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Kuma misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Kuma is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Volti looks calm but he's in trouble here. Kuma gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Volti is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Kuma lets go of the hold and Volti can pop his arm back in it's socket.
