And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Troy Powers!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baba throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Powers.
Baba displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.

It looks like Troy Powers has been cut.
Sinbad Baba seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Baba lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Baba throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Powers has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

A slow jab from Baba misses its intended target.
Baba takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Powers shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Powers stops Baba from getting back to his feet.
Powers is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Baba!
BOOM! Powers connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Powers throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.

Baba is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Baba is wriggling around trying to escape.

Powers postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Baba in real trouble here! The ref calls for Baba to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!

Troy Powers tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
