The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tahere avoids the body shot from Eversole.
Tahere moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Sandro Eversole seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Eversole takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Tahere pushes Eversole away with a front kick. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Tahere scores with a kick to the midsection. Eversole on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Tahere. Tahere obviously looking to wear him down.

It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Eversole stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Tahere. Eversole throws a series of punches but Tahere moves out of range. Eversole getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Eversole misses with a jab, cross combination.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Eversole swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Tahere feints a counter leg kick. Eversole will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body. Eversole tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Tahere moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Eversole throws a combination that misses and Tahere counters with a big head kick but Eversole shrugs it off. Eversole misses with a wild body shot. Tahere lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Eversole misses with a double jab.

and Tahere counters with an inside leg kick. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A jab from Eversole misses. Tahere counters with a body kick. Eversole swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Tahere throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Eversole just misses with a punch to the body.
Eversole is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Eversole takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Eversole throws a body punch but Tahere moves out of range. A nice leg kick lands there from Tahere. No joy there for Eversole, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Eversole misses with a looping right. Tahere lands with a kick to the temple. Tahere thinks about the counter body kick. Eversole misses with a wild body shot. A combination from Eversole does no damage. Eversole backing away here, and Tahere unleashes a leg kick that just misses. Tahere lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Tahere takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Eversole will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rockafella throws a jab when Rautio was well out of range. Rautio tests Rockafella's chin there with a solid looking shot. Rockafella cracks Rautio with a right hand to the side of the head. Rautio tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Rockafella counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Rautio swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Rockafella. Rautio uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rockafella.
Rautio clinches up against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rockafella tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Rautio misses with a looping left. Rockafella swats away the attempt to clinch by Rautio. Rockafella waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Rautio. Rockafella with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Rautio to score with a decent uppercut. Rautio uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Rockafella. Rockafella takes a shot to the body in his stride.

A punch lands to the side of Rockafella 's head but he takes it in his stride. Rautio tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Rockafella manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. It seemed like Rockafella was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Rockafella fails to land the takedown. An attempted straight right counter from Rautio misses the target. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Rautio slaps away a takedown attempt from Rockafella, before circling back to the center of the mat. Mikko Rautio has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tommy Rockafella. Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Rautio moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Rockafella! Rautio continues to tee off on Rockafella, landing with a left and a right! Rautio connects with a right hand that leaves Rockafella sleeping against the cage! What a finish by Rautio!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nerk shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Lasnur napping and manages to drive through into side control! Nerk remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Lasnur tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Nerk wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. You can see the frustration on Lasnur's face as Nerk controls the position. Lasnur wants to control but Nerk postures up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nerk is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Nerk tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lasnur can't do much from the bottom here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lasnur tries to improve position but can't. Lasnur could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. You can see the frustration on Lasnur's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Nerk tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lasnur paws at him with a jab and circles away. Lasnur feinted there with a counter leg kick. Nerk trying to control but he's not successful this time. Lasnur tries to hold on but Nerk postures up. Lasnur will be more careful next time no doubt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Lasnur. Nerk closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Nerk looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Lasnur regains full guard. Nicely done. That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Nerk controls Lasnur momentarily but Lasnur frees himself.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Lasnur tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Nerk manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Lasnur shoots in but Nerk avoids the takedown attempt easily. Nerk fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Lasnur to the ground. Nerk is now in Lasnur's guard. Nerk won't allow Lasnur to sweep him here. Nerk has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Lasnur not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Lasnur is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Nerk is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lasnur is looking to stand up but Nerk isn't so interested in that idea. Lasnur wants to sweep here but Nerk controlling him for the moment. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Nerk sitting in guard, not really doing much.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Lasnur wants to stall.
Nerk is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Lasnur gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Lasnur is looking for a takedown. Nerk is looking to take this one to the mat. Lasnur's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Lasnur tries to clinch but Nerk is having none of it. Nerk dives in and grabs Lasnur's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lasnur pushes down on Nerk's head and hops out. Brock Lasnur has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wes Nerk. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! No luck for Lasnur with that takedown attempt. Brock Lasnur has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Wes Nerk is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Lasnur tries to land a front kick but Nerk steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
And that's the end of the fight! Wes Nerk comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Nerk has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. Togi breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
