The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Punc looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Punc could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Fresh is defending against the submission attempts here by Punc.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Punc wants to control but Fresh is keeping him busy.
Punc seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Punc passes to full mount!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Punc is looking to stand but Fresh has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.

Fresh shoots in looking for a takedown. Punc tries to sprawl out of it but Fresh keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Punc manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Fresh tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Punc defends well and Fresh ends up having to push Punc into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Seeam Punc has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Doug Fresh.
Fresh fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Punc avoids it really well and circles away.

Fresh throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Punc's waist but Punc gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fresh off to one side.
Punc seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Fresh postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Fresh wants to get up but he can't break Punc's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Fresh is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Seeam Punc.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Punc, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Logan drives through and clinches with Frank against the cage.
Frank has Logan pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Logan manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Frank looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Logan shoots in and gets a takedown into Frank's guard.
Logan stands and throws Frank's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Frank wants to control but Logan postures up.
Logan takes a little break here. Frank wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Logan tries for a kimura but Frank is defending well.

Frank's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
