Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, John Lord! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, John Bain! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Richard Clark and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lord fails to land with a series of punches.
Bain swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Bain wants to clinch up but Lord keeps it at a distance. The fight stays on the outside here - Bain looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Bain tries to clinch there but Lord circles away.
Bain misses with a lunging right hand
and Lord counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Bain throws a hook but Lord avoids it easily. Lord throws a lazy right hand but Bain sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Bain swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Bain throws an overhand right that lands on Lord's shoulder, as Lord tries to avoid the shot. Lord swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Bain counters with a straight right hand. John Bain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bain keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Lord. Bain swings widly with a right hand
and Lord counters with a series of strikes. Bain will be more careful next time no doubt. Lord misses with a series of wild punches.
Bain looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Bain takes a jab right on the kisser.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bain throws out a loose jab but Lord uses good head movement to avoid it. A combination from Lord does no damage. Lord throws a combination that misses and Bain counters with a lovely straight right hand! Bain looks to land a right hand but Lord moved out of range. Bain doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Lord misses with a straight left. Bain bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Bain uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Lord staying out of range there. Lord ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Bain waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Lord. Lord throws a big counter combination but Bain scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Lord on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Lord is rocked! Bain drops Lord with a huge uppercut! Lord drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Bain is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Bain! A very excited looking John Bain made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction. The defeated John Lord had this to say: 'With God's guidance, I will come back stronger and better.
