Jackson closes the distance and pushes Wainwright back into the cage.

Jackson preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Wainwright is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Jackson has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Wainwright is looking to defend but Jackson has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Wainwright! Jackson pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Wainwright taps out and this one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crawford avoids a punch combination nicely.
The fighters circling - Crawford throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Kensou half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Crawford throws a hook but Kensou blocks it.
Kensou tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Crawford fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kensou sprawls well initially but Crawford persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Crawford prevents Kensou from standing back up.
Crawford content to control rather than advance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kensou wants to get back to his feet.

Kensou tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Crawford manages to move to mount!
Crawford tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Let's hope that Crawford has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Kensou scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Crawford manages to mount him!

Kensou throws a head kick that misses.

Crawford fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Kensou to the ground. Crawford is now in Kensou's guard.
Crawford is pushing down on Kensou's leg trying to pass to half guard. Kensou is fighting to maintain full guard but Crawford has managed to sneak the leg through.
Kensou looks like he's trying to stand up.

Crawford looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Kensou ducks under a wild hook from Crawford.

Crawford feints and as Kensou raises his hands in defense, Crawford changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Crawford works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Crawford moves nicely into side control.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Crawford controls the position.
Kensou really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Munnings loads up on a big right hand but Galvao slips the punch.
Galvao will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Munnings lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Galvao shoots in but no luck this time.

Munnings gets a double leg takedown into Galvao's guard.
Galvao can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Munnings controls the pace.

Munnings avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Munnings wants to stand but Galvao is controlling his posture from full guard.
Galvao is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Galvao is looking to cinch up a triangle. Munnings throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Galvao's body to avoid the submission. Galvao has instead reached around Munnings's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Galvao arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Cardenal scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Smith gets a takedown into half guard.
Smith working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Cardenal wants to get back to his feet.
Smith is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Smith has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Cardenal on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Smith connects with a nice short shot to Cardenal's temple.

Cardenal on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Cardenal tries to get out of the position.
Smith works his way into full mount!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Cardenal is bucking up trying to escape but Smith cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Cardenal is rocked!
Cardenal takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Smith's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
