The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crawford shoots and misses
and Jackson counters with a stiff right hand.
Crawford shoots in and gets a takedown into Jackson's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jackson can do anything to dispel that myth.

and Jackson counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Jackson connects with a right hand. Crawford shakes it off.
Crawford throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jackson's waist but Jackson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Crawford off to one side.

and Jackson counters with a crisp right that sends Crawford to the canvas! Jackson follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!

Smith throws the left hand but Galvao avoids the punch easily.
Smith leaves Galvao with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Galvao looks for a takedown but Smith sprawls well.
Smith drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Galvao takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Galvao has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Smith. Oh but Galvao has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Smith goes limp - he's gone! Galvao jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
