3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ziomar Juvenal! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Moji Joaninho! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Cecil Peabody and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Some bone on bone action there as Joaninho checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Juvenal shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Joaninho is trying to defend but Juvenal finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Juvenal wants to lay and pray for a moment but Joaninho keeps working. Juvenal scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Joaninho trying to hold on to Juvenal's head to control him but Juvenal postures up.
Juvenal is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Joaninho is just riding it out for now. Juvenal eventually gives up the hold. Joaninho manages to get to full guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Juvenal trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Joaninho keeping moving, preventing Juvenal from controlling successfully. Joaninho preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Joaninho wants to get back to his feet but Juvenal is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Joaninho is adopting a defensive guard. Juvenal content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Joaninho trying to control the position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Juvenal plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Joaninho thows a body shot but no joy. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Juvenal is defended easily by Joaninho. Juvenal closes this distance looking for a takedown but Joaninho circles away. Joaninho cracks Juvenal with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Joaninho looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Joaninho misses with a wild combination.
Juvenal will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ziomar Juvenal. That's going to take a lot out of him. Juvenal steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Joaninho. Joaninho keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Joaninho lands a big right hand that sends Juvenal crashing to the mat! Joaninho stays standing though and waves Juvenal back to his feet!
Juvenal is rocked! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Joaninho tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Oh Juvenal is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Joaninho misses with a two punch combination.

I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Joaninho has cracked Juvenal with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Joaninho lands another huge swinging hook and Juvenal tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Juvenal, before Joaninho can land any more shots!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Shorts.

Johnson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Shorts as he avoids it easily. Shorts lands with a nice body punch. Shorts tries a head kick but it misses.

That was a close round but I would say that Jack Hinuri will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Redmond gets back to half guard. Hinuri lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. Kraft rolled but Dangle kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Kraft looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Dangle is trying to stick to Kraft's back but Kraft is turning into Dangle. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Dangle's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Kraft. Dangle lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Kraft! Dangle content just to control the position here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Despite being in the dominant position, Jim Dangle just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kraft with a lazy takedown attempt and Dangle counters with an outside leg kick.
Kraft thows a leg kick but Dangle checks it and Dangle counters with a nice body kick. Kraft throws a predictable looking body shot
and Dangle counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Kraft's guard now. Dangle is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Let's hope that Dangle has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
And that's the end of the fight! Jim Dangle comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Dangle has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
