8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Hendrik Velikopolje! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Atkins and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Velikopolje throws the left hand but Rikidozan avoids the punch easily. Velikopolje throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Rikidozan takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Velikopolje swings for the body but Rikidozan moves out of range.
Velikopolje throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Rikidozan on the side of the head. Velikopolje misses with an uppercut. Rikidozan dips to his left and cracks Velikopolje with an uppercut! Velikopolje blocks a jab. Velikopolje slips a jab from Rikidozan. Velikopolje jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Velikopolje scores with a punch to the head. Velikopolje throws an overhand right that lands on Rikidozan's shoulder, as Rikidozan tries to avoid the shot. Velikopolje's corner calls for a 1-2. Velikopolje obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Velikopolje moves out of range of the body kick from Rikidozan.

That's one minute gone in the round. Rikidozan uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Velikopolje. Rikidozan was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Velikopolje tries to land a front kick but Rikidozan steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Rikidozan is looking to counter with head kicks. Rikidozan sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Rikidozan avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Rikidozan throws a hook but Velikopolje avoids it easily. Velikopolje looks like he wants to counter punch here. Both fighters circling a little - Velikopolje finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Rikidozan takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Rikidozan swings and misses with a hook to the body.

We've been informed that Velikopolje has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Velikopolje swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thai looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Sobieski drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Thai defends it well. Thai fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Thai tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Sobieski is able to avoid easily. Thai lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Muay Thai seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Thai looks to score with a jab to the body but Sobieski is just out of range. Thai misses with a hook. Thai moves out of range of the body kick. As Sobieski backs away, Thai returns fire with a leg kick that just misses. Thai takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Sobieski slips nicely into half guard. Sobieski winds up and cracks Thai with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Sobieski sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Sobieski throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Thai works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Sobieski pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Thai is keeping the position for now. Thai wants to get back to his feet but Sobieski is in a dominant position and won't allow it. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sobieski accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Thai preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Thai wants to slow Sobieski down by chopping away at his legs. And Sobieski tries to counter it with a takedown but Thai pushes his down on his head and steps out. Thai throws the kick towards the body but Sobieski avoids it. Sobieski has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Thai. Sobieski takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Thai scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Thai blocks the body kick.
And that's the end of the fight! Muay Thai showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Thai, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Bas Severn dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Hardacre rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Knight finish him?!
Knight dances in with a quick combination. Hardacre is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Knight snaps Hardacre's head back. Hardacre stumbles backwards against the cage. Knight steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Hardacre's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Hardacre just didn't come prepared.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Spider lands a right hook to the body.
McGee avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
McGee takes a swing at Spider's ribcage but misses. McGee swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Spider throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. McGee avoids the body shot from Spider.

Rinky Spider seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Spider connects with a good right hand that stumbles McGee. McGee circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Spider takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Spider cracks a nice hook into McGee's ribs. McGee looks winded! McGee throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Spider finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Spider avoids the body shot from McGee.
McGee takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Spider lands a big uppercut and McGee crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but McGee looks OK. Spider waves McGee back to his feet!
It looks like Tiny McGee has been cut. Spider bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of McGee's head. Spider drops McGee with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but McGee looks back up at him and smiles so Spider waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
McGee is rocked! Spider scores with a kick to the midsection. McGee is still on wobbly legs! Can Spider finish him?
That's one minute gone in the round. Spider pushes McGee away with a front kick. McGee seems to have recovered his senses. Spider thuds a left hand into McGee's body. Spider scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. McGee drops his hands momentarily and Spider takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Spider throws a half hearted mid kick. Spider looks to land a body kick but McGee moved away. Spider scores with a leg kick.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Spider. McGee is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Spider with a body shot. Spider throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent McGee stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. McGee on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Spider rushes McGee and presses him up against the cage. Spider lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. McGee's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Spider lands a lovely overhand right. McGee slips under a jab from Spider. McGee has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight.

It looks like Spider has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him. Spider cracks a nice hook into McGee's ribs.
