13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nobero Shimasaki! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Henry Morgan! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Gwen Towbar and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Morgan lands a left and a right that send Shimasaki crashing to the mat, dazed. Morgan thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Nobero Shimasaki has been cut. Morgan misses with the combination.
A nice inside leg kick there by Shimasaki. That's going to slow Morgan down. Morgan forces Shimasaki back against the cage and clinches. Morgan wants to get back to striking at distance but Shimasaki won't allow it.
Morgan tries to break free but Shimasaki pushes him back against the cage. Morgan takes a knee to the side of the body. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Morgan on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Shimasaki breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Shimasaki shoots in but no luck this time. Morgan leaves Shimasaki with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Shimasaki cracks Morgan with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Shimasaki has been working on his balance at 11th Planet MMA, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Morgan. Morgan swats away the attempt to clinch by Shimasaki. Shimasaki misses with a takedown attempt - Morgan sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. As Shimasaki backs off Morgan throws a huge counter combo but Shimasaki manages to avoid it all. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nobero Shimasaki. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Morgan cracks Shimasaki with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Shimasaki falls to his knees and Morgan doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Couture fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Page sprawls well initially but Couture persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Page won't allow Couture to pass to mount. Couture performing his best blanket impression for a moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Page wants to improve his position but Couture is controlling well.
Couture seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

We've been informed that Austin has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Austin goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Newell swats away the attempt to clinch by Austin. Newell showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Austin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Macotti gets caught flat footed, as Gragula shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Gragula postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Macotti is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Gragula, into his guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Macotti trying to control the position from guard on top but Gragula is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Macotti drops back for a leg! Is there anything that Gragula can do to turn this around? Macotti wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gragula keeps working. Gragula is looking for a sweep. Macotti remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fish takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Koko tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Koko blocks a leg kick. Koko waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Fish. Koko tries a head kick but it misses.
