The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jupe fakes a jab and throws a low kick but De Silva checks it well.
Jupe looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
De Silva shoots for a takedown but Jupe saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

De Silva closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Jupe did well to prevent De Silva getting side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Jupe is refusing to be controlled, as De Silva sits in half guard.

It looks like Ferdi Jesse has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
George ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Jesse's jaw. Jesse's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! George does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jack Sharp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pascal Amyotte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sharp comes to the cage accompanied by Toxic Holocaust - Nuke The Cross. Jack Sharp had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 156.8lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Pascal Amyotte is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
