Page dives in for a single leg takedown but Morgan sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Page fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
As Page tries to get set, Morgan tries to push him back and clinch up but Page manages to avoid the attempt.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Powers throws a hook to the side of Kahric's head but Kahric sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Powers lands a nice shot that snaps Kahric's head back.
Kahric drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Powers manages to get back to half guard.
Kahric is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Powers is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kahric pulls his head out easily.

Troy Powers tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.

Brown throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Thomas's waist but Thomas gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Brown off to one side.

Brown has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Thomas has instead reached around Brown's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Thomas arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
