Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dmitri Yurkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raizer Sorrow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sorrow has chosen DMX - Slippin' get the fuck up as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Sorrow. No joy for Yurkov on that attempt.
Yurkov shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Sorrow counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

It looks like Dmitri Yurkov has been cut.

Sorrow has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Yurkov shoots in looking for a takedown. Sorrow tries to sprawl out of it but Yurkov keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sorrow manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Sorrow connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Sorrow works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Yurkov drops his hands momentarily and Sorrow takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Yurkov shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Sorrow as he avoids it easily.
Yurkov has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Sorrow finds it's way round the side to connect with Yurkov's head.
Oh Yurkov is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Sorrow clinches up against the cage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Sorrow throws a big uppercut that drops Yurkov! More strikes from Sorrow and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Yurkov lies dazed against the cage as Sorrow celebrates with his cornermen!

After the fight, Raizer Sorrow was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Hardon working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
