Boothe moves out of range as Hayes strikes.
Boothe misses with a leg kick.
Hayes misses with a body kick.
A solid leg kick lands there for Hayes.
Boothe slips under a jab from Hayes.
Boothe looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Boothe fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Hayes has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Hayes tries to work over Boothe's front leg with a kick but Boothe checks it.
Hayes throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Boothe stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Hayes.

A looping hook to the body misses from Boothe. Hayes does a little dance to reset his feet.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Hayes has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

and Hayes counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Hayes lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Boothe has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Boothe and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Hayes looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Good leg kick by Hayes there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

and Hayes counters with a right hand to the body.
Hayes on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

It looks like Khalid Hayes has been cut.

Boothe walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Hayes checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Boothe lands a big head kick that sends Hayes tumbling to the mat! Boothe takes a step backwards and waves Hayes back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Boothe sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Hayes's defenses. It connects perfectly with Hayes's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
