Nice sprawl there from Mitchell as Shinata shoots in.

Shinata is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Mitchell to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Mitchell shrugs it off.
Mitchell really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Shinata. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Shinata has control of Mitchell 's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Mitchell regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Mitchell turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Shinata off and cradles Mitchell 's limp body as Shinata celebrates with his corner.

Galloway swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Krause.
Krause shoots in for a double leg but Galloway sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Galloway connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
A punch lands to the side of Krause 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Galloway feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Krauses jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Krause shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Galloway looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Galloway bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Krause's head.

Richmond lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Silva up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Richmond from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Silva 's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Krylov fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Ramos has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Ramos dives in and grabs Krylov's left leg, looking for a takedown. Krylov pushes down on Ramos's head and hops out.
Krylov is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Ramos wants to clinch.
Krylov swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Krylov lands a nice looking body shot.
Ramos misses with a takedown attempt - Krylov sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ramos shoots for a double leg takedown but Krylov sprawls well. He's pushed Ramos's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Ramos changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Krylov tries to avoid it but Ramos manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Krylov to the ground. Krylov escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Jackson Ramos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
