The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Herrera tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Olson defends well and Herrera ends up having to push Olson into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Olson tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Olson is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Herrera's shoulder. That is not cool.
Herrera is trying to control Olson's posture but Olson avoids it.

Olson decides to stand up, so the ref orders Herrera to his feet.
Olson throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Herrera's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Olson dives in looking to finish as Herrera flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Olson's strikes! Olson is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Herrera's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Herrera was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

We've been informed that Avila has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

It looks like Francis Underwood has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Underwood is aggressively charging in as Tatlumahi backs up avoiding any damage. Tatlumahi tosses out a jab and Underwood runs right into it face first! Underwood is out cold! Tatlumahi dropped down on all fours and is barking in Underwood's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!
