The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kartes closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Marques to the mat! Marques manages to get full guard.

Marques has his foot on Kartes's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kartes works his way back into a safe position though.

Erschov shoots in looking for a takedown but Typhaze manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Erschov's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Typhaze throws a body kick that misses.

Erschov shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Typhaze sprawls well. Typhaze wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Erschov gets slowly back to his feet.

Erschov moves forwards but Typhaze connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Valdez shoots for a takedown but Musashi saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Musashi connects with a looping right hand.
Daniel Valdez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Musashi changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Valdez looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Valdez manages to get back to half guard.
Musashi is trying to control the action in half guard but Valdez is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Musashi is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Valdez has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Musashi. Oh but Valdez has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Musashi goes limp - he's gone! Valdez jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
