The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ozawa takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Zangief throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Zangief misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Zangief keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Ozawa has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Ozawa throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Zangief was covering up waiting for the punch and Ozawa finishes the takedown easily into guard. Zangief wants to stand up but Ozawa is controlling him. Zangief preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ozawa stands up from guard. Let's bang! Ozawa takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Good leg kick by Zangief there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Nice takedown defense from Zangief. No joy for Ozawa on that attempt. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ozawa will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Travis Zangief has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Maria Ozawa.

Ozawa gets a double leg takedown into Zangief's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ozawa working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Zangief looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Ozawa gets to his feet. Zangief looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Ozawa shoots in and drives through. Zangief sprawls well. Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Zangief! Ozawa is out on his feet! Zangief rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Ozawa is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Ozawa is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

Travis Zangief made sure to give a little speech post fight, saying 'Mad props to Ozawa, he's been around the block like myself but I just simply outworked him tonight. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A leg kick checked by Matus. Matus now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Davidson is looking to take this fight into the clinch. A little jabbing left from Matus on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Davidson misses with a lunging right hand
and Matus counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Davidson is lucky that one didn't land flush. Matus has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. The fight stays on the outside here - Davidson looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Davidson falls off balance throwing a combination
and Matus counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Davidson fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Matus checks it well. Matus throws a low kick but Davidson avoids it. Dustin Davidson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. No joy there for Matus, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Matus moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Matus scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Davidson doesn't seem bothered though. The fight moves into the clinch position. A right hook to the body lands for Matus.

That's no bad thing of course, for those of us who want to see a good fight. Matus lands with a right to the head. Davidson can't find room to land a body shot as Matus controls the action.

Davidson can't break the clinch.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Miller throws a combination that misses and Miller takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Pagnozzi is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Miller lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Pagnozzi looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Miller throws a series of punches but Pagnozzi moves out of range. Pagnozzi follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. Miller throws a left and a right that both miss
and Pagnozzi cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Pagnozzi uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Miller. Pagnozzi walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Miller checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Pagnozzi lands an overhand right. This fight brought to you by 5M nutrition - it's mmmmm tasty. Nice jab by Pagnozzi.
Miller is rocked! Pagnozzi closes the distance looking for a takedown. Miller stuffs it but Pagnozzi still has hold of him. Pagnozzi picks Miller up in a fireman's lift! The crowd roars in approval. Pagnozzi slams Miller to the floor and that's really hurt Miller - he doesn't know where he is! Pagnozzi throws a couple of strikes and the referee steps in to save him! This one is in the books!

We've been informed that Jokinen has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Jokinen tries to bum rush Li with a series of wild strikes but Li uses good footwork to avoid the assault. A jab from Li misses. Jokinen throws a big counter head kick but Li avoids it with no problem. A nice leg kick lands there from Jokinen. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Li throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Li feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Jokinen's calf. Jokinen thumps Li with a low kick. We've been told by Li's head coaches at Alpha Elite Private Training that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Li works Jokinen's body with a nice hook. Jokinen fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Li throws a head kick that half lands.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jokinen keeps trying to improve his position. Jokinen keeping moving, preventing Li from controlling successfully. Li stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jokinen swivels though and keeps the full guard. Li wants to control from the top but Jokinen keeps moving. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Li decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Jokinen lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Li circles away quickly and effectively. Li tries to counter with a takedown but Jokinen is quick to defend against it. Yize Li is winning the standup battle so far. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Jokinen has closed the distance and engaged Li in a clinch.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Benton tries to close the distance and clinch but Al Qarni swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Al Qarni throws a right hand that Benton ducks under and follows up with a left that Benton also avoids with ease. Al Qarni misses with a straight right. As Al Qarni backs off Benton throws a huge counter combo but Al Qarni manages to avoid it all. Al Qarni misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Clay fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Manne, pushing him back against the cage. Clay misses with a short punch on the inside. Manne misses with some punches.

Tapettava slaps away a takedown attempt from Stevenson, before circling back to the center of the mat. Tapettava attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. A head kick misses from Stevenson. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, John Fadden! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
18 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jesus Gaarlandt! The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fadden connects with a good right hand that stumbles Gaarlandt. Gaarlandt circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Fadden fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! A punch combination from Fadden misses. Gaarlandt feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Fadden's calf. Gaarlandt ducks under a wild hook from Fadden. Gaarlandt throws a body shot but no joy. Gaarlandt missing with a left hand there. Fadden was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Fadden walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Fadden jabs Gaarlandt to the body, keeping him at a distance. Fadden has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Fadden misses with a straight left. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Gaarlandt - that will leave a mark!
A nice combination there by Gaarlandt.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Gaarlandt throws a jab but it's blocked by Fadden. A leg kick checked by Gaarlandt. Fadden is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Gaarlandt. Gaarlandt throws out a counter right but Fadden avoids it with no problem. Gaarlandt cracks Fadden with a right hand to the side of the head. Gaarlandt takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Gaarlandt is rocked! Gaarlandt throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Fadden stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Gaarlandt follows into mount!
Fadden is rocked! Gaarlandt is still in real trouble! Can Fadden finish him?
It looks like John Fadden has been cut. Gaarlandt has isolated one of Fadden's arms. Fadden looking to fight him off but Gaarlandt twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
