The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mir closes the distance and clinches up with Bombada, looking for a takedown. Mir pushes Bombada against the cage but Bombada circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Mir shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bombada as he avoids it easily.

Mir shoots in for a double leg but Bombada sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Brad Bombada has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Moises Mir.

I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Bombada has cracked Mir with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Bombada lands another huge swinging hook and Mir tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Mir, before Bombada can land any more shots!

Njord is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Sam is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
