The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jackson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Kona doesn't manage to clinch there - Shinhan circles away.
Kona sets himself, and Shinhan steps forward looking for the clinch! Kona avoids it this time.

and Shinhan counters with a head kick that drops Kona to the mat! Kona scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

Oh Kona is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Daigo Kona. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Shinhan dips a shoulder and cracks Kona with a mighty uppercut! Kona falls back against the cage and Shinhan unloads with a barrage of strikes! Kona is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Shinhan screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Tien Shinhan decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

Udo does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Rama Udo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Anttila feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Anttila is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Udo is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
