The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Strzelba connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Dimopoulos momentarily.
Dimopoulos misses with a double jab.
Some wild striking there from Strzelba.
Dimopoulos throws a big counter combination but Strzelba scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Dimopoulos connects with a vicious head kick that knocks Strzelba to the floor! Dimopoulos dives in looking for the finish!
Strzelba is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Dimopoulos seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Strzelba is still in real trouble! Can Dimopoulos finish him? Strzelba is looking for a sweep. Dimopoulos is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Dimopoulos connects with a nice short shot to Strzelba's temple. Dimopoulos prevents Strzelba from standing back up.
Strzelba gets back to full guard.
Dimopoulos knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Strzelba on the ground. Dimopoulos decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Strzelba drops his hands momentarily and Dimopoulos needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Strzelba just on the top of the head. Strzelba drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Strzelba - he's done!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fernandez darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Wood is refusing to be controlled, as Fernandez sits in half guard. Wood is looking for a sweep. Fernandez is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Wood wants to get back to full guard but Fernandez has mounted him! Fernandez can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Wood is looking to escape. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wood holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Fernandez tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fernandez content just to control the position here. Wood is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Wood wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Fernandez.
Fernandez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Wood blocking the ground and pound. Fernandez controlling the position easily from mount. Wood is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Fernandez throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Fernandez will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Fernandez misses with punches from the back. A lull in the action here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Fernandez controls the action. Fernandez seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Wood for as long as he can get away with. Fernandez working for a choke but Wood is defending well. Fernandez looking for the choke from the back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wood is trying to get back to his feet but Fernandez has full control of the position and if anything, Wood has just worked his way into a worse spot. Wood is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Fernandez.

Nathan Crowley had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 171.2lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. Crowley darts in looking for a takedown but Skywalker gets double underhooks and turns Crowley into the cage. Crowley throws a push kick but Skywalker slaps the foot to one side. Skywalker shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Skywalker drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Skywalker as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Crowley screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Skywalker! Nice submission victory there!

Catalan tries to close the distance and clinch but Pacquiao swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Catalan throws a series of punches but Pacquiao moves out of range. Catalan closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Pacquiao is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Catalan breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Pacquiao connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Catalan's hands. Catalan tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Pacquiao is able to avoid easily. Catalan will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Pacquiao lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pacquiao throws a sloppy head kick and Catalan moves out of range easily. Catalan lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Pacquiao backs up against the cage.
Catalan fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Pacquiao avoids it really well and circles away.

Pacquiao clinches. Catalan breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Catalan tries to clinch but Pacquiao moves out of range. Pacquiao swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Catalan counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Mark Catalan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Catalan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Catalan swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Pacquiao closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Pacquiao prevents a takedown attempt there.
Pacquiao tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Catalan takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pacquiao is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Catalan is keeping busy. Catalan breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Pacquiao instigates a clinch. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Pacquiao is trying to break the clinch but Catalan is controlling him. A right hook to the body lands for Pacquiao.

Catalan throws a right and a left that both miss. Pacquiao throws a sloppy head kick and Catalan moves out of range easily. Catalan tries to clinch and Pacquiao counters with a left and a right that stings Catalan. Pacquiao rushes Catalan and presses him up against the cage. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Pacquiao. Catalan manages to break the clinch.

Matt Pacquiao has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Catalan. Catalan has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Pacquiao after a bit of a struggle. Catalan leaning his opponent against the cage. Pacquiao has had enough of the clinch but Catalan keeps him there for the moment. Pacquiao wants to get back to striking at distance but Catalan won't allow it.

Pacquiao gets tackled into the cage by Catalan. Catalan maintains the clinch. Catalan breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Pacquiao gets in close and instigates a clinch. Pacquiao tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Catalan defends well and Pacquiao ends up having to push Catalan into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. A combination from Catalan does no damage. Catalan darts in and clinches Pacquiao up against the cage. Pacquiao working hard to break the clinch.

Mark Catalan is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Pacquiao lands with a light punch inside. Pacquiao wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Catalan has him pressed against the cage. Pacquiao tries a body shot but Catalan blocks it.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Pacquiao creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Pacquiao is looking to break free of the clinch but Catalan has double underhooks. Pacquiao wants to break the clinch but can't.

Kandinsky steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Williams. Williams has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Williams's corner calls for a 1-2. Williams obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Kandinsky has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Williams scores with a jab to the head.
The fighters circle momentarily. Williams darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
It looks like Pietr Kandinsky has been cut. Williams with a jab. Lenny Williams seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Williams lands a lovely overhand right.
Kandinsky is rocked! Good standup being displayed there by Williams as he connects with a hook. Kandinsky is still on wobbly legs! Can Williams finish him? A looping hook to the body misses from Williams. Kandinsky does a little dance to reset his feet. Williams fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Kandinsky square on the jaw! Damn, Kandinsky is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!

Romanov is in close to Jordan's body, working some short punches and elbows. Romanov works over Jordan with some ground and pound from guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Romanov accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Romanov working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Jordan wants to stand but Romanov is controlling the position. Jordan is trying to keep Romanov in close.

Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
