Kowalski is looking to take a break and control but Vieira is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vieira manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Vieira lands a jab to Kowalski's midsection.
Vieira lands with a hook. Kowalski tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Vieira throws a series of punches but Kowalski avoids them all with ease.
A looping hook to the body misses from Vieira. Kowalski does a little dance to reset his feet.
Kowalski looks for a takedown but Vieira sprawls well.
It looked like Vieira was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Kron Vieira seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Kowalski.
Vieira throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Kowalski counters with a shoot takedown. Vieira fights it but they end up in guard.

Vieira has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Kowalski should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Vieira has tightened it up now! Kowalski should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
