Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tien Shinhan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wyatt Earp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Shinhan might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Aether - Beso. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Battaglia's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Battaglia was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mario Barontini!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Daniel Blasius and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shlamel fails with a takedown attempt.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Barontini has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Barontini wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shlamel has Barontini pressed against the cage, preventing Barontini from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Shlamel lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Barontini or not.
Barontini wants to break the clinch but can't.
Barontini blocks an elbow strike.
Shlamel is looking for a takedown.
Shlamel is looking to control Barontini's arms but Barontini gets an underhook and turns him. Now Shlamel has his back to the cage.

Shlamel shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Barontini napping and manages to drive through into side control!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Shlamel has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

Barontini tries to bench press Shlamel off him but Shlamel keeps the position.
Barontini can't do much from the bottom here.
Shlamel is putting a hurting on Barontini here, landing some big shots from side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Shlamel misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Shlamel has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Barontini is trying to buck Shlamel off.

A big shot lands for Shlamel! That's hurt Barontini! Will he recover? Shlamel fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
