The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kenji shoots in for a takedown but Walken shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Kenji shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Walken defends it nicely.

and Walken counters with a lovely straight right hand!

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kenji is defended easily by Walken.
Walken throws out a counter right but Kenji avoids it with no problem.
Walken looks to land a combination. Kenji sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Kenji drops back looking for a leg! Walken is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Walken manages to kick Kenji off! Kenji jumps back into Walken's guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kenji accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Kenji is looking to work some ground and pound but Walken has wrist control.

Walken really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kenji. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Walken throws a leg kick but Kenji moved away.
Kenji keeps the fight on the outside.
Walken slaps away a takedown attempt from Kenji, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Walken tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kenji manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Walken looks to land a left hand but Kenji moved out of range nicely.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kenji is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Walken pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Kenji tries to pull guard but Walken holds him up against the cage and eventually Kenji drops back down to his feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Avreli throws a right hand that misses
and Marsh counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

It looks like Mark Avreli has been cut.
Avreli misses with a body punch
and Marsh counters with a nice uppercut.
Avreli misses with a jab to the body
letting Marsh counter with a right hand.
Marsh misses with a low kick.
Marsh tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Marsh getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Avreli misses with a shot to the body
and Marsh counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Avreli looks to throw the jab but Marsh is out of range.
Marsh throws a fast counter high kick but Avreli manages to duck under it in time.
Avreli throws a body punch but Marsh moves out of range.
Avreli sizes up Marsh with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Marsh moves out of range of the strikes.
Marsh unleashes a big counter combination but Avreli bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Avreli throws a lazy uppercut
and Marsh counters with a body kick that stops Avreli in his tracks momentarily.

Avreli throws an overhand right that lands on Marsh's shoulder, as Marsh tries to avoid the shot.
Nice shot lands for Marsh.

Mark Avreli's cut is getting worse.
Marsh throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Avreli is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Marsh's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
A head kick from Marsh lands but Avreli takes it in his stride.
Avreli takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Mark Avreli's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Avreli throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Avreli closes the distance looking to clinch

and Marsh counters with a head kick that drops Avreli to the mat! Avreli scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

Jeez, Mark Avreli's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Mark Avreli's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
