1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Vladimir Valiov! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Dillan Fox and William Peck.

and Hoisen moves into the clinch. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Hoisen just misses with a elbow thrown towards Valiov's brow. Hoisen connects with a knee to the head.
Valiov wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Hoisen connects with a nasty looking knee right to Valiov's face.
Hoisen landing knees to the head.
The referee calls for Hoisen to work.
Valiov can't break the clinch.
Hoisen tries to land knees in the clinch but Valiov avoids the damage to the body. Valiov takes a knee to the side of the body. Valiov swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Hoisen misses with a punch to the body.
Hoisen throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Valiov blocks it with crossed arms. Hoisen using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.

Hoisen putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Valiov in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Valiov tries to circle away but Hoisen has him pinned against the cage.

Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Valiov is defending well for now. Hoisen with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hoisen creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Hoisen is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Valiov is defending well for now. Valiov takes a knee to the side of the body. A right handed body shot lands from Valiov.
Valiov throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Hoisens head. Hoisen wants to stall.

Valiov is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Hoisen is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Hoisen lands a nice knee to the body. Come on Hoisen - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Hoisen keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Valiov's efforts to push away. Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Hoisen obliges. Stalling in the clinch from Hoisen.

A frustrated look appears on Valiov's face as he tries to break the clinch. Valiov looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. A knee to the head by Hoisen.
This has been an exciting period of action! Hoisen misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Valiov.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Eik Hoisen dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

He has Valiov in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Hoisen is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Valiov is defending well for now. Valiov blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Valiov wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Hoisen has him pressed against the cage. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Hoisen with a knee to the head.

Hoisen goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Hoisen because Valiov was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.

Cruz feints and as Laak raises his hands in defense, Cruz changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Cruz sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Cruz drops back looking for a leg! Laak is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Laak manages to kick Cruz off! Cruz jumps back into Laak's guard. Laak working a defensive guard here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cruz pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Laak is keeping the position for now. Cruz slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Laak working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cruz doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Laak is tightening it up a little... Cruz has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Cruz reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Cruz taps out! Nice BJJ there by Laak!

Bear's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Suarez tries to move into range but Bear moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Suarez is still on wobbly legs! Can Bear finish him?

Bear comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Bear feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Suarez sprawling to the canvas! Suarez rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Bear finish him?!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bear throws a right hand that Suarez ducks under and follows up with a left that Suarez also avoids with ease. Suarez with the counter takedown but Bear avoids it easily. Suarez looks to land a combination but Bear avoids it well. Luisito Suarez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bear fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Bear drops Suarez with a huge uppercut! Suarez drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Bear is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Black Bear! In defeat, Luisito Suarez stepped up to the mic, saying 'Na próxima eu vou morder!'.

Smith tries to clinch but Silva moves out of range. Smith throws a hook to the side of Silva's head but Silva sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Silva is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Smith.
Silva rushes Smith and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Silva throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Smiths head. Smith throws a punch but it's blocked by Silva. Smith blocks the elbow strike.
Silva drops Smith onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Smith is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!

He pushes Smith back and as he springs towards him off the cage, Silva throws a beautiful elbow that sends Smith crashing to the floor! Silva piles on the pressure with more strikes! Smith is flailing away but he's not defending himself and the referee steps in to stop the fight!
