 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A looping hook to the body misses from Akabaro. Denke does a little dance to reset his feet. Akabaro takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Denke throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Akabaro ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Denke moves away. Denke's jab looks to have found its range, popping Akabaro under the eye. Denke throws a body shot but no joy. Denke looks to score with a jab to the body but Akabaro is just out of range. A nice leg kick lands there from Denke. Denke moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Akabaro checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Denke tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Akabaro is able to avoid easily. Denke smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Akabaro tries to clinch but Denke is having none of it. Akabaro throws a half hearted mid kick. Akabaro misses the shot to the body. It seemed like Denke was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Denke walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Akabaro checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Akabaro jabs Denke right on the nose. Denke blinks but takes it well. This has been an exciting period of action! I was talking to Akabaro's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Denke's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! This has been an exciting period of action! A short right from Akabaro. Denke tries to work over Akabaro's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Denke doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

and Akabaro counters with a solid body kick. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Denke misses with a leg kick and Akabaro counters with a straight right hand. Denke is looking to chop away at Akabaro's legs. Denke tries to work over Akabaro's front leg with a kick but Akabaro checks it.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Denke lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Akabaro has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Akabaro and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Akabaro feinted there with a counter leg kick. Denke on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Kwame Akabaro is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. That was a close round but I would say that Kwame Akabaro will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

 It looks like Karl Denke has been cut. Denke does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Akabaro showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Denke.
Akabaro swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Denke throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Denke needs to keep his hands up - Akabaro had a free shot at his head there. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.  The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sanders shoots in for a double leg but Hyypia sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Hyypia throws a low kick, looking for Sanders's leg but Sanders calmly moves out of range. Sanders shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Sanders takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
 It looks like Rod Sanders has been cut. Sanders darts in looking for a takedown but Hyypia gets double underhooks and turns Sanders into the cage. Sami Hyypia has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rod Sanders. Sanders takes a body punch but keeps moving. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Sanders checks a leg kick. Sanders takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Sanders gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Hyypia counters with a head kick that drops Sanders to the mat! Sanders scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
 Sanders is rocked! Sanders wants to stay close but Hyypia steps back to make room for something. Sanders seems frozen to the spot and bam! huge swing of the leg from Hyypia and Sanders drops like he has been shot! A huge head kick and it's all over!

Illiadis has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Gridlock. Illiadis moves out of range of the leg kick from Gridlock. Gridlock connects with a solid leg kick. Gridlock has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Illiadis finds it's way round the side to connect with Gridlock's head. A punch combination from Illiadis misses. Gridlock has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Illiadis crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Gridlock - the referee stops the clock and Illiadis gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Gridlock. Illiadis manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Illiadis throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Gridlock scores with a counter punch that sends Illiadis to the canvas! Gridlock smells blood - he's punishing Illiadis with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Illiadis has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wojnasiewicz throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Seagull scoring well with a low kick there.
Seagull walks into a stiff left hand from Wojnasiewicz. Wojnasiewicz with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Seagull turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Seagull tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Wojnasiewicz swivels and escapes. Seagull has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Wojnasiewicz drives through with a takedown into Seagull's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Sanchez shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Cuenca eats them both and turns towards Sanchez to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Sanchez fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Cuenca. Cuenca attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Cuenca fails to land with a series of punches.
