Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zailer Bronson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nicolas Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bronson kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Blessing. Gracie is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Sabaton - The Art of War. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bronson throws a series of punches but Gracie avoids them all with ease. Gracie shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Bronson counters with a lovely straight right hand! Bronson looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Gracie wants to get back to full guard. Gracie moves into full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bronson trying to control but Gracie is working from the bottom. Gracie looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Bronson has gone for a leg lock! Gracie slips out almost immediately though and dives into Bronson's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie's corner is telling him to maintain position. Bronson wants to stand and escape but Gracie is having none of it. Bronson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Gracie wants to pass the guard but Bronson is keeping the position. Gracie thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Bronson can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Gracie controls the pace. Gracie pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bronson is keeping the position for now. Bronson is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Gracie has gone for a leg lock! Bronson slips out almost immediately though and dives into Gracie's guard. Gracie trying to control the position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Gracie lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Gracie thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Gracie slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Bronson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Gracie tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Gracie wants to control but Bronson is keeping him busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gracie working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Gracie has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Bronson is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Gracie yanks on the arm and Bronson is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Gracie.

It looks like Yury Soares has been cut. Soares tries to close the distance and clinch but Hofmann swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Hofmann lands with a kick to the ribs.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hofmann is trying hard to land a takedown here. Soares sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Soares feints the counter takedown. Soares tries to clinch up but Hofmann circles away and keeps his distance. Soares misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hofmann tries to keep at a distance but Soares has taken the fight into the clinch. Yury Soares has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Steven Hofmann is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Hofmann blocks an elbow strike.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Steven Hofmann. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hofmann, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction. In defeat, Yury Soares stepped up to the mic, saying 'Eu não perco, só enjoo de vencer.'.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cera tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Vipunen swivels and escapes. Cera darts in looking for a takedown but Vipunen gets double underhooks and turns Cera into the ropes. Cera darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. We've been hearing good reports from Cera's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Vipunen flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

That was a close round but I would say that Dark Terror will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.
Terror scores with a jab. Hussain acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Terror shoots for a takedown but Hussain saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Hussain swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Terror bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Hussain ! He dives into his guard looking to finish!
Hussain is rocked! Hussain has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Terror can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Hussain is still in real trouble! Can Terror finish him? Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hussain trying to keep a closed guard but Terror is proving a slippery customer.
Hussain seems to have recovered his senses. Terror controlling from the top position. Hussain keeping moving, preventing Terror from controlling successfully. Dark Terror overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Terror stays in close to Hussain 's body and controls the position. Terror got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hussain has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Terror has managed to get both his arms back between Hussain 's legs - danger averted. Hussain working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Terror doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Hussain is tightening it up a little... Terror has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Terror reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Terror taps out! Nice BJJ there by Hussain !

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Magnus Cross! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chang Pi! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Chad Campbell and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A big left from Pi misses. Cross throws a good cross that connects.
Cross tries to clinch up but Pi circles away and keeps his distance. Pi throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Pi throws out a loose jab but Cross uses good head movement to avoid it. Cross clinches up with Pi and pushes him back against the ropes. Pi working some nice short punches in the clinch. Cross blocks a body shot from Pi. Cross escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Pi is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Cross tries to close the distance and clinch up but Pi swats him away and circles back towards the center. Cross uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Pi.
Cross seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cross keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Cross thuds a left hand into Pi's body. Pi throws a shot to the body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Magnus Cross! A very excited looking Magnus Cross rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
