The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Marciano has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Marciano and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Swanson lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Marciano should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Marciano throws a wild hook but Swanson just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Marciano gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Swanson raises his hands in celebration and walks away!

Lee throws a right hand that Sue ducks under and follows up with a left that Sue also avoids with ease.
Lee rushes Sue with punches - Sue moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Sue goes down! Lee follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!

and Kade counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Kade avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Kade got a little sloppy there for a moment and Diaz has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kade has managed to get both his arms back between Diaz's legs - danger averted.
Kade really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Diaz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Kade is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Diaz has control of Kade's left arm, preventing Kade from doing any damage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mays swings for the body but Maer moves out of range.
Maer shoots in looking for a takedown. Mays tries to sprawl out of it but Maer keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mays manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
It looked like Mays was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Maer.
Maer tries for a takedown but Mays sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Maer doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Mays misses the jab.
Mays jabs Maer right on the nose. Maer blinks but takes it well.
Maer shoots in looking for a takedown but Mays manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Maer's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Elvin Mays has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Danny Maer.
Maer dives in for a single leg takedown but Mays sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Maer misses with a takedown attempt - Mays sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Teller is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Snore screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Hate feints and then cracks Gracie's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Gracie down.
Hate throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Gracie's coach down at Den of Tears (22 coaches, $600 fee) was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Gracie's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Hate lands a big head kick that sends Gracie tumbling to the mat! Hate takes a step backwards and waves Gracie back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hate lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Hate batters Gracie with a massive right followed by a huge left! Gracie is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Hate lands a final crushing right hand to drop Gracie to the mat with a gruesome thud! Hate is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Harry Hate!
Harry Hate tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
Helio Gracie was interviewed post fight and said 'I'd like to thank my opponent for giving me a chance making him better just by entering ring.'.

Khan thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

We've been hearing that Bwarnt has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Bwarnt will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Bwarnt wants to stand but Khan is controlling his posture from full guard.

Bwarnt has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Khan is on top in guard.

Khan tries to free his leg and advance position but Bwarnt is retaining full guard.
Khan has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Reddit Heroes. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
Bwarnt wants to stand but Khan is controlling the position.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Khan stands and throws Bwarnt's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Khan has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Bwarnt!

Khan is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Bwarnt is surviving well by controlling Khan's body position as best he can.
Khan throwing strikes here but Bwarnt is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
