The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bill tries to clinch up but Post circles away and keeps his distance.

Cortes gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Mentagawa counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Well Mentagawa has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Matsuo ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Rexar blocks a head kick by Matsuo.
A decent looking cross lands there for Rexar.
Rexar getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Matsuo looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
A big left from Rexar misses.
Rexar tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Matsuo was well out of range. Poor timing from Rexar.
Rexar lands the left hand.
Matsuo looks to land a combination but Rexar avoids it well.
Matsuo throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Rexar on the side of the head.
Rexar misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Rexar cracks Matsuo with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rexar avoids a punch combination nicely.
Rexar lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Rexar swings for the body but Matsuo moves out of range.
Matsuo throws a leg kick which misses Rexar's front leg but catches the back leg as Rexar tries to avoid it.

Rexar lands a big uppercut and Matsuo crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Matsuo looks OK. Rexar waves Matsuo back to his feet!

Matsuo is rocked!
Matsuo leaves his chin hanging out and Rexar seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Matsuo crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Tyler Rexar!
Post fight, Tyler Rexar took to the microphone: 'Great to be back here at Coyotile. Props to matsuo he's a veteran like myself and I knew coming in he would give me a tough fight. Glad I bested him tonught and thank you everyone for the support!'.
