The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kim throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Jachas clinches up against the cage.
Kim has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Jachas after a bit of a struggle.
Kim drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Jachas breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Nice defenses there by Jachas.
Kim moves in looking to clinch but Jachas pushes him off.
Jachas throws a counter combo.
Kim tries to clinch but Jachas moves out of range.
Jachas will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Kim fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Jachas to the ground. Kim is now in Jachas's guard.

Kim thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Kim postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Jachas is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kim is controlling him.

Kim tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Kim has hold of Jachas's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Jachas tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Kim cranks the arm and Jachas screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Jachas, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

A very excited looking Dong Kim made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.

Smith misses with a takedown attempt - Badger sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Badger lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Smith shoots in but no luck this time.

Byhenikov takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Tatum looks for the body kick but Byhenikov saw that one coming.
Byhenikov is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Tatum.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Tatum has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Byhenikov looks to throw the jab but Tatum is out of range.
