It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Valez misses with an uppercut. Sokka saw that one coming. Sokka uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Valez. Sokka changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Valez tries to avoid it but Sokka manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Valez to the ground. Valez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Sokka closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Sokka is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Valez wants to stand back up but Sokka manages to pass into side control.
Valez is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Sokka asserts his dominance and retains side control. Sokka has an Americana. Valez didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Sokka is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Sokka hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Wilcox throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as James works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Wilcox controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Wilcox trying to control but James is working from the bottom. James has Wilcox pulled in close to control his posture. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Wilcox looking to pass the guard. Noel James has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Wilcox is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
And that's the end of the fight! Jacoby Wilcox comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Wilcox has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. Redd closes the distance and pushes Bonds back into the cage. Redd has clasped his hands together around Bonds's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Redd in side control, throwing shots but Bonds defends. Redd wants to control but Bonds is keeping him busy. Bonds is trying to escape and get back to his feet. That's one minute gone in the round. Opas moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Cekada shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Cekada throws a big shot that misses. Opas connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Cekada checks a leg kick nicely. Cekada lands a nice shot to the body.
Opas connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Cekada looks to throw the jab but Opas is out of range. Opas works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Opas looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Opas is trying to control the position but Cekada postures up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Opas throws a right and a left that both miss. Cekada uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Opas. No joy there for Cekada, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Opas throws a leg kick which misses Cekada's front leg but catches the back leg as Cekada tries to avoid it. Cekada takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Cekada chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Opas can pounce on him.
Cekada fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Opas avoids it really well and circles away. Don Opas is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Opas fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Cekada. Cekada displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Cekada looks to land a combination but Opas avoids it well. Opas thuds a left hand into Cekada's body. Cekada takes one to the chin there. Good work by Cekada as he checks the leg kick.

Cekada shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Opas defends it nicely. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Boris Cekada. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cekada on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Opas. Opas obviously looking to wear him down.
Cekada throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Cekada throws a shot from downtown. Opas moves away and avoids it. Opas scoring well with a low kick there.
Opas moves into range and connects with a jab. Cekada tries to move into range but Opas moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Cekada cracks Opas with a right hand to the side of the head. Opas lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Both fighters circling a little - Opas finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Opas fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Cekada. Opas scores with the left hand. Cekada knows he should have avoided that one. Cekada stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Opas.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Don Opas. I've got Opas winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gilbert Schilt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonny Hunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Schilt might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Who - Baba O'Riley. Hunt comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Ace of Spades by Motorhead kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hunt tries to clinch there but Schilt circles away.
Schilt lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Hunt at a distance.
Jonny Hunt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Schilt fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Hunt looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Schilt tests Hunt's chin there with a solid looking shot. Schilt misses with a wild combination.
Schilt lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Schilt lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Schilt. Schilt uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Schilt checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Schilt moves out of range of the leg kick from Hunt. Hunt closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Hunt throws a body kick that misses. Hunt throws a half hearted mid kick. Schilt connects with a good right hand that stumbles Hunt. Hunt circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Hunt tries to clinch up but Schilt circles away and keeps his distance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Schilt ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Schilt cracks Hunt with a right hand to the side of the head. Schilt uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hunt. Hunt takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Hunt throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Hunt takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Hunt looks gassed! Schilt takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. This has been an exciting period of action! Schilt keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Schilt throws a series of punches but Hunt avoids them all with ease. Schilt avoids a kick to the body.
Schilt is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Hunt takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Schilt tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Schilt really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Hunt takes one to the side of the head.
Hunt misses with an uppercut. Schilt connects with a right hand. Hunt shakes it off.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Schilt's corner calls for a 1-2. Schilt obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. A decent looking cross lands there for Schilt. Schilt jabs Hunt right on the nose. Hunt blinks but takes it well. Schilt is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Schilt throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Hunt. Schilt feints and then cracks Hunt's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Hunt down. Schilt moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Hunt takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Schilt connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Hunt to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Schilt!
