The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Berkeley misses with the combination.
Berkeley dives in and scores a takedown into Damato Jr's guard. Damato Jr is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Berkeley wants to stand but Damato Jr has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Damato Jr is trying to control the position from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Berkeley tries to free his leg and advance position but Damato Jr is retaining full guard. De La Bath shoots in looking for a takedown but Harm manages to keep the fight standing, pushing De La Bath's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. De La Bath with a poor takedown enabling Harm to counter with a crisp jab. Harm misses with a body kick. De La Bath seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. De La Bath has his takedown stuffed and Harm counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice cross by Silva. Silva stuffs the takedown. And Silva counters with a quick kick to the body but Palikka blocks it. A looping hook to the body misses from Palikka. Silva does a little dance to reset his feet. Palikka throws the left hand but Silva avoids the punch easily. Palikka throws a lazy right hand but Silva sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Silva swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Palikka has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Silva finds it's way round the side to connect with Palikka's head. Silva is looking to slow Palikka down with leg kicks. Silva misses with a double jab.

Silva throws a wild body kick that Palikka sees coming a mile off. Silva looks to land a left hand but Palikka moved out of range nicely. Palikka lands with a good body shot. Silva pushing out the jab but it's not landing. It seemed like Palikka was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. The fighters circle momentarily. Silva darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Silva throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Palikka throws a body punch but Silva moves out of range. It looked like Silva was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. A clash of legs there as Silva blocks the low kick. Palikka uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Silva. Silva pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Palikka misses with a looping left. Palikka takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. A big left from Palikka misses. Silva throws a hook to the side of Palikka's head but Palikka sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Palikka feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Silvas jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Palikka looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Silva is fending him off so far but Palikka persists. Nope, Silva circles away and we're back to standing. Palikka throws a shot from downtown. Silva moves away and avoids it.

Silva looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Palikka blocks the body kick.

Machete lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. A jab lands there for Austin. Austin connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Austin on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Machete has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Austin swats away the attempt to clinch by Machete. Machete takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Machete bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Machete is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Machete throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Austin sees it coming and avoids it easily. Machete is still on wobbly legs! Can Austin finish him? Austin throws a right and a left that Machete avoids nicely. Machete seems to have recovered his senses. Austin lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
That has opened up Don Machete's cut even more. Austin with a body punch. A glancing blow. Machete lands with an uppercut that bounces Austin off the cage and back into range. Don Machete seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Austin missing with a left hand there. Machete was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Machete misses with a hook to the body
and Austin counters with a left to the body. Machete swings and misses with a shot to the body and Austin counters with a right, left combo that wobbles Machete badly! Austin follows up with a massive right hook, straight to the bridge of the nose that knocks Machete out cold! Oh wow, what a finish! Very reminiscent of Koscheck vs Yoshida as Austin finished him against the cage.

Small attempts a counter takedown but Johns avoids it well and moves away. Johns lands with a nice body kick. Johns misses with a low kick as Small jumps back. Small is looking to counter punch. We've been hearing reports that Small has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Small avoids the head kick by Johns.

Johns does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Small misses with the combination.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Small checks a leg kick nicely. Small clobbers Johns with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Small throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Johns's waist but Johns gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Small off to one side.

Johns throws a big counter head kick but Small avoids it with no problem. Nice shot by Small. Small tries to clinch there but Johns circles away.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Johns has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Johns throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Johns shoots in looking for a takedown. Small tries to sprawl out of it but Johns keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Small manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Small throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Johns dives in and grabs Small's left leg, looking for a takedown. Small pushes down on Johns's head and hops out. Dixie Small has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jimmy Johns. Small dives in and scores a takedown into Johns's guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Johns keeping moving, preventing Small from controlling successfully. Small with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Small scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Johns has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Small can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. That sent McGuiness stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. McGuiness cracks Hawk with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. McGuiness will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
And Hawk tries to counter it with a takedown but McGuiness pushes his down on his head and steps out. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. McGuiness takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. McGuiness displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hawk.

and Hawk counters with a low kick, right behind McGuiness 's knee. Hawk throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. McGuiness avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thrul avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Rose throws a hook to the side of Thrul's head but Thrul sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Rose backing away here, and Thrul unleashes a leg kick that just misses. Rose moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Rose has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Beast Cartel in the buildup to the fight. Thrul throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Thrul moves out of range of the body kick from Rose.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hong wants to slow May down by chopping away at his legs. An attempted straight right counter from May misses the target. May connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Hong momentarily.
The cut above Antoni Kristofer Hong's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Hong throws an overhand right that lands on May's shoulder, as May tries to avoid the shot. Hong misses with a right hand and May counters with a straight right hand. Nice shot lands for May.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hong lands with a cross. Hong throws a head kick that misses and May makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Hong takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. May thumps Hong with a low kick. May thows a leg kick but Hong checks it and Hong counters with a nice low kick that buckles May's knee momentarily. Hong takes one to the chin there. Hong defending well as May loads up on a big left hand. Hong pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Hong has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. May throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Hong is clearly looking to counter with head kicks. Hong throws a body shot but no joy. Hong moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hong throws out a loose jab but May uses good head movement to avoid it. Hong checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. May lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Hong at a distance.
Good leg kick by Hong there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hong walks into a stiff left hand from May. Hong gets off balance looking for a body kick and May counters with an inside leg kick. May moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Hong lands a nice shot to the body.
Hong scores with a slapping inside leg kick. May scoring well with a low kick there.
Hong throws a leg kick letting May counter with a right hand. May takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
And that's the end of the fight! Brad May showed his dominance in that final round. Well May has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
