The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circle momentarily. Garrett darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Adur uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Garrett has time to react.

It looks like Wade Garrett has been cut.
Adur throws a shot from downtown. Garrett moves away and avoids it.
Adur on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Adur cracks Garrett with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Garrett tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Adur pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Garrett is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ken Waller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Monokio Mow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mow has chosen Genesis as his entrance music. Ken Waller had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 156.2lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dauden lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Dauden.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Dauden.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Sato is trying to get back to half guard.

Sato is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Dauden knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
You can see the frustration on Dauden's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

That was a close round but I would say that Hideo Sato will probably get the nod.

Dauden will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Sato tries to keep at a distance but Dauden has taken the fight into the clinch.

Dauden manages to break the clinch.
Dauden tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sato swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Dauden leaves Sato with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Sato changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dauden tries to avoid it but Sato manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dauden to the ground. Dauden escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Dauden keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Dauden unleashes a big counter combination but Sato bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Dauden tries to bum rush Sato with a series of wild strikes but Sato uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Dauden has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Dauden sizes up Sato with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Sato drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Hideo Sato overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Sato is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Dauden is defending well though. Sato let's go of the attempt for now.

Pearson walks into a stiff left hand from Silva.

It looks like James Pearson has been cut.
Silva takes a swing at Pearson's ribcage but misses.
Silva throws a body punch but Pearson moves out of range.
Pearson swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Silva has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Pearson ducks right into an uppercut from Silva.
Pearson has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
