31 - 19 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Alexander Smirnov! The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Roger Salmon and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A left lands for Smirnov. Smirnov slips a jab and a cross from Mustonen.
Smirnov throws a good cross that connects.
Smirnov bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Mustonen throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Smirnov. Smirnov misses with a low kick. Smirnov throws a low kick, looking for Mustonen's leg but Mustonen calmly moves out of range. A punch lands to the side of Mustonen 's head but he takes it in his stride.
It looks like Joonas Mustonen has been cut. Smirnov wants to slow Mustonen down by chopping away at his legs. Mustonen fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Mustonen throws a jab but it's blocked by Smirnov. Smirnov throws a nice inside leg kick. Smirnov lands with a thumping leg kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Smirnov tries to move into range but Mustonen moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Mustonen ducks under a wild hook from Smirnov. Alexander Smirnov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smirnov throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Mustonen's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Smirnov connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Mustonen scrambles back to his feet. We've been informed that Smirnov has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Mustonen avoids the head kick by Smirnov.
Mustonen throws a nice looking combination but Smirnov bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Smirnov connects with a leg kick. Mustonen looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. A kick lands to the mid section there for Smirnov. Smirnov tries to work over Mustonen's front leg with a kick but Mustonen checks it. Mustonen with a body punch. A glancing blow. Smirnov throws the left hand but Mustonen avoids the punch easily. Smirnov pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Mustonen appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Mustonen throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Smirnov changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Smirnov swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Smirnov connects with a high kick. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Smirnov scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Smirnov throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Mustonen was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Smirnov cracks Mustonen with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Smirnov takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Mustonen moves away from the strike by Smirnov. Mustonen throws a series of punches but Smirnov avoids them all with ease. Smirnov needs to keep his hands up - Mustonen had a free shot at his head there. Smirnov fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Mustonen has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Smirnov connects with a crisp jab. Smirnov throws a nice head kick!
Mustonen is rocked! Smirnov lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Mustonen falls backwards - clearly groggy! Smirnov dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! DeLaurier shoots in and bounces Ignorant off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. DeLaurier stands up over Ignorant, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. DeLaurier pushing down on Ignorant's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. DeLaurier wants to take a breather but Ignorant is having none of it. DeLaurier has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Ignorant is controlling DeLaurier's trapped leg to prevent DeLaurier from advancing to side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ignorant is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Ignorant wants to get back to his feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Winkler swings for the body but Li moves out of range.
A big left from Winkler misses. Winkler lands with a nice body punch. Winkler feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Lis jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Winkler stuffs the takedown attempt from Li. Li gets slowly back to his feet. Winkler ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Li moves away. Winkler is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Li. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gold keeps the fight on the outside. Cooper's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Cooper duly obliges. The fight moves into the clinch position. Gold throws a punch but it's blocked by Cooper. Cooper creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Gold's defenses. Cooper lands an elbow inside. Cooper misses with a punch to the body.
Cooper comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Cooper blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Abdullah connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Huang's hands. Abdullah fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Huang avoids it really well and circles away. Huang shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Abdullah napping and manages to drive through into side control! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cronos dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Fish. That did some damage! Fish closes the distance looking to clinch and Cronos counters with a left to the body. Cronos lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Fish takes a swing at Cronos's ribcage but misses. Cronos has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Cronos throws a good cross that connects.
Cronos looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Fish feints the counter takedown. Cronos swinging wildly here.

You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Cronos throws out a leg kick but Fish moves out of range and Cronos only half commits. Fish punishes Cronos's body with a nice straight punch. This has been an exciting period of action! Fish displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Cronos throws out the jab.
