1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Gareth Mark! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, John Roberts and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mark throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Rude was covering up waiting for the punch and Mark finishes the takedown easily into guard. Mark sitting in guard, not really doing much. Mark really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rude. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Rude trying to keep a closed guard but Mark is proving a slippery customer.
Mark trying to control but Rude is working from the bottom. Rude is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Mark is aware though and is defending well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mark working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mark trying to control the position from guard on top but Rude is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rude escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mark gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Mark is stalling in the full guard. Rude had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mark defends it easily. Mark avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Mark is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Mark trying to control but Rude is working from the bottom. Rude had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mark defends it easily. Rude not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Rude is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mark defends well. Rude is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mark drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Mark jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Mark trying to control the position from guard on top but Rude is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rude has his feet on Mark's thighs here. He's pushed Mark off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Mark screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hastings shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Tonon napping and manages to drive through into side control! Tonon manages to work his way to half guard, despite Hastings's best efforts. Tonon is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Hastings's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Hastings's back! Tonon is working for a rear naked choke. Hastings is not defending it well and Tonon has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Hastings refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Hastings's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from Stevenson as Eckstroem shoots in. Stevenson darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Eckstroem throws a strike from the bottom but Stevenson passes into side control!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alvarez wants to clinch. Alvarez tries to clinch but Strong is having none of it. Strong gets tackled into the cage by Alvarez. Alvarez maintains the clinch. Alvarez blocks a body shot from Strong. Strong lands a shot to the body. We've been hearing reports that Alvarez has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Strong lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Strong creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Strong tries to throw a body punch but Alvarez avoids it by throwing Strong back against the cage. Strong makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Strong works on Alvarez's body with a couple of short punches. Alvarez wants to break free. Strong cracks Alvarez with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Strong has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Alvarez to stand back up!
