The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Costner moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

It looks like Zachary Abrams has been cut.
Abrams throws a leg kick that misses.
Abrams looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Abrams showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Costner.
Abrams tries to clinch there but Costner circles away.
Costner lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

Costner clobbers Abrams with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Costner rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Abrams moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
As Costner tries to get set, Abrams tries to push him back and clinch up but Costner manages to avoid the attempt.
Abrams looks for the body kick but Costner saw that one coming.
Costner looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Abrams takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Abrams finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Dassler has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Petrosyan uses from the top position.

Petrosyan is posturing up here but Dassler has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Petrosyan tries to roll out but it's too tight and Petrosyan has to tap! Slick submission there by Dassler!

That was a close round but I would say that Kosta Gatsalov will probably get the nod.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Colt McLaren.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Fosse has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Blade Runner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Runner throws a right hand that Fosse ducks under and follows up with a left that Fosse also avoids with ease.
